The room and the bathroom were very clean, and Ahmed and his cousins are doing a fantastic job with this guesthouse. It was very nice to have tea/coffee on the terrace and there is a big fridge where you can store your water and some snacks. Ahmed is super nice and very helpful in everything you need e.g ., he organised for us airport transfer for a very good price etc. The guesthouse is a bit difficult to find if you arrive in the evening, look for a dark metal door near the football pitch.

Perfect stay in Aswan. This is a real gem. Beautiful and quiet location 2mins from the boat pier. The rooms are spacious and clean. Wifi works great. the best part is the owner Ahmed who has taken such good care of me. He can also organise all the trips including to Abu Sibel and Luxor. Amazing hospitality and help!

Everything: the location on the elephantine island was amazing, with view to the nile river, and next to greats restaurants. The bedroom was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and kind. In fact they help us to take the boat and taxi to the train station at 4 am. 100%recommended

This is a great place to stay in Aswan. The room is nice with comfortable beds. The facilities are clean and the shower has plenty of hot water. Ahmed was a fantastic host, doing everything to make sure we had a good stay. He provided extra blankets when it was cold and a hair dryer. He also arranged a great trip to Abu Simbel for us. We would certainly stay again. A very good place to eat, only five minutes walk away, with excellent, freshly cooked Egyptian food is Kana Kato.

I was going to give a "10" for this property, but I am taking 1 point off. The owner asked three times to give him a nice review - twice during our last night there, and another time after we left. I would have been happy to write nice things about his place on my own. Hopefully, this feedback would be helpful for Ahmed in the future. :)

Excellent value to stay in Aswan - rooms are new and comfortable, very clean, safe, easy to find near the public ferry dock. The owner Ahmed is always prompt in replying to messages before the arrival and makes communication easy. The property is located in a real part of the village from where it is easy to start walks and explore the island and village life. Tea packets and electric pot (and cups) are available for guests to use in a shared kitchenette. There is a rof-top terrace with very nice views over the Nile and West bank. Overall, very nice and enjoyable place to stay.

I was hard to find the hotel on the island. If possible a sign would be great.

The hotel is located on an Islands in the Nile, from the hotel you have an amazing view on Aswan. In addition, the hotel is located in a beautiful little village where we had a wonderful morning walk. The room was tidy, big bathroom, nothing negative to say. All you need was available. Then the host was great, he helped us find our way to the hostel, welcomed us and was available in case of need.

Fadl Kato is very clean and comfortable, in an excellent position, with a great view over the Nile. We had a very friendly welcome. There is a very good restaurant within easy walking distance.

We loved being part of the community,being on Elphantine Island. It was relaxing, and much quieter at night. We took a local passenger ferry back and forth to the mainland. There are no vehicles on the Island. The owners of the property can arrange all your tours for you.
