Love the house reef - excellent snorkelling off a great beach. We’ve been a few times but there are now some great improvements making the hotel even better.

An amazing resort with fantastic staff - starting from the check-in process at the reception (Mr. Victor, Mr. Abdel Rahman and Mr. Hatem) to the room cleanliness and size to the swimming pools, the greenery everywhere, the very long extended sandy beach with fantastic inhouse reefs to the beach bar (Abdel Rahman offered a smiley and attentive service), the pizza bar and the main restaurant - everything was very good. The food quality and freshness was very good that my sensitive tummy didn't suffer at all during my stay :) the animation lady that did morning stretching was very good.

The hotel was mostly populated by old Germans who aren't exactly friendly and can be rude. Luckily the younger Germans we met were very friendly.

We liked the buffets which were excellent quality. Gardens are gorgeous and the sea is full of beautiful tropical fish. The entertainment stages were a source of amusement Some were excellent in particular two women soul singers and some were so bad they amused us too but we are English and love irony. It's very gated and after a couple of days it was nice to travel to Luxor and see real Egyptian life.

Nothing, I loved everything, this place is fast becoming my home away from home.

5 star experience from start to finish. Second stay at Fort Arabesque and everything here is perfect for me. All the staff are the kindest, nicest people you will ever meet, they genuinely love their guests and made a special effort with my daughter. Tamien at the reception bar has made our mornings so much better with his hospitality and amazing coffee. I will really miss every member of staff here. The days are hot but there’s plenty of shade on the beach and around the gardens. The gardeners do a sterling job keeping everything lush, I have to remind myself we are in the desert. It’s beautiful walking around the gardens and organic herb patch. Buggy friendly also. Plenty of bars to stop for a drink! The sunrise on the beach is very special and I have enjoyed snorkelling around the stunning house reefs just meters from the shore. It’s the Red Sea which is usually calm and warm, they don’t have high or low tides here so it’s very safe. If you have kids it’s perfect as there’s lots of kids zones and my daughter loves the kids club and mini disco every day. I enjoyed the daily stretch, pilates, dance and water aerobics classes. The aqua gym class is so much fun with swim up bar… perfection. There are also lots of adult only areas which my mum enjoyed. Very good WiFI and air conditioning. The food and cocktails are also 5 star with lots of options, I am so sad to leave and already looking forward to my next stay at Fort Arabesque.

When staying at the beach in the adult only part, there weren't many toilets nearby. Most of the buildings felt well maintained, but the arena for the evening shows could use some renovation and the music was played excessively loud during most shows.

The house reef is wonderful and the access is well monitored by the beach guards. Sun beds were comfortable as were the actual beds in our room (albeit a bit on the hard side in the room). The food at the buffet was always tasty and there were plenty of options, only as vegetarians we lacked a bit of options or variety. Hotel reception/management was also very friendly and correct in reimbursing us for a cancelled service where they weren't at fault themselves and had no direct obligation to do so. Overall the hotel felt very secure and all staff were friendly.

The entertainment programma in the Arena could have been better. Our kids (8 years and 10 years old) didn't like the activities in the kids club, it is targeted for much younger children.

Everything! We had the family room; the rooms were clean en spacious. The food was good in every restaurant. The pools were clean and also not crowded. We also liked the house reef, it was very easy for us and the kids to go snorkeling from the beach into the Red Sea (not too deep, easy and safe, ...)

Everything was amazing! The quite place with beautiful area, We loved the decoration, Excellent food, Excellent service, Beach so near with beautiful spot of snorkelling. Kids could play Volley, football, padel tennis, petanque,... Just a taste of paradise ;-)!!!

Food options in the buffet were repititive. Breakfast was fine but lunch & dinner could be better.

Not much tbh. The only thing I could say is the water exercise activities music could be a little lower volume wise and then maybe the instructor wouldn't have to shout so much.

The location for diving, Idive centre was awesome. The staff were all friendly, catering, bar, lifeguards and gardening staff. Food was fantastic everyday. Rooms were clean, bed nice and comfy. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained.

FYI: The hotel had elderly German people only :/ Not that it mattered that much, but as a young couple we felt like we're at a wrong place. 1. Well, the entertainment was corresponsing. Bad! The evening show was very weak, lasted less than 30 minutes, the stage was dirty. The singers at the bars were also absolutely terrible, no offence. We've been to Turkey last year and entertainment was MUCH better! With club dances, Aqua aerobics, disco at the evening, etc. 2. The food was not that great either. Quite plain and just one a la carté restaurant with very few options and same every day. But nice ambiénte. P.S. Hurgada Airport Terminal 2 is old and tiny. Fast to go through and absolutely NOTHING to do inside.

1. The coral reef was very nice and the entance in the water was perfect! No pier and one can just walk in by sand without any shoes or hassle. 2. The sunbeds are fantastic! Huge beach, loads of private sphere, super comfortable sunbeds and it is not loud aroud! Didn't have to book anything early in the morning or pay to reserve. 3. The territory is nice and green! Quite a lot of different areas, like one with a waterfall. See photos. 4. Everything is perfectly clean. Also the cleaning crew was very attentive. 5. The room is nice - maybe the bathroom is a tiny bit outdated, but perfectly clean and the room is very spacious and the loggia is perfect, with a view to the green territory and sea. Beds are huge and comfortable. A/C does its job. 6. There is a tennis and a paddle court, rackets to play with for a almost symbolic price. We gladly used the opportunity every day! P.S. Definitely opt for a transfer option from Booking - it is very affordable, reliable and safe! Kudos

Just over all the rooms needs significant updating/renovating installing power sockets with USB connection. The bathrooms also need significant improvement. Better variety of TV channels.

A great choice for an unforgettable stay in Makadi Bay. Fort Arabesque exceeded all our expectations: Great accommodation facility, wonderful staff, great food and amenities and lots of amazing treats! The whole staff was amazing with special thanks to Mr. Mina, the S&M manager for all his great assistance all through the stay!
