Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaWiFi connection is a bit sketchy, quite often my phone would prompt me to sign in again but the sign in page never loads. The connection is actually still active, just extremely slow at times and the phone thinks the connection dropped. Signing in requires a one time username and password that is randomly generated by someone on demand, at times it is hard to get hold of said someone though.
The staff are extremely friendly and really try to be helpful. Adel, the caretaker of the property, even took me to the old town market one evening to show me around. I did not request it, nor was I charged anything for it, he purely did it because he is a friendly guy! The location is great, close to El Fanaar beach which is great for snorkeling and a bit of freediving. You can scuba there too if you want. There are several shops near the hotel too, snacks, t-shirts, beer, souvenirs.... The property itself is rather nice with lots of grass and plenty of shade by the beach. A good sturdy walkway gets you past the reef dropoff for a nice snorkel. The room was comfortable with a nice bed, good pressure in the shower (nice big shower to clean off snorkeling gear) and aircon. There was a TV as well but I never switched it on so I can't comment on what is available to watch, rather spend your time outdoors, that's why you're there!

South AfricaIt was not easy to access the site as the local taxi operators did not seem to know the Resort by its name. Also, the information provided by you on your booking site that the check-in and the room key collection takes place at the Xperience Kiroseiz Premier Naama Bay Resort WAS NOT CORRECT! I initially went there but without receiving any result!? Instead they advised me to do this at the Hill-top Beach Resort itself. I actually did my check-in at the Hilltop Resort itself as should be expected of a Resort!
Nice location with sea view. Had good snorkeling access.

Abkhazia, GeorgiaAircon issues in the room and the toilet facilities need upgrading.
The beach club was a great place to come to visit daily, the small team there did everything possible to help you enjoy the time. This facility was far superior to the kiroseiz hotel we had our main holiday in. Some of the facilities at beach top were a bit tired but still charming. The food was the same as the hotel which is a shame but we found a good food in the town centre when we stayed there. Special thanks to Kerolos/ Carlos the barman, and Ashraf the manager.

EgyptClearness: Bed sheets are dirty. Room floor and bed have ants which make it impossible to relax in the room. Facilities: Wifi is too slow and not always working. Restaurant: Non professional staff, dirty tables, dirty spoons, dirty mugs. No food options for an open buffet style restaurant. Overall, definitely no value for the price.

I was amazingly and positively surprised about several things - fast internet, smooth late night check-in, lovely beach a stonethrow away, friendly and professional staff, effective aircondition and in my oppinion - a perfekt location at a fair and competitative price.

Amazing hotel!!! It is located in a very good place, there are shops and cafes nearby and no problems with taxis, cost to go to old town is $2-$3. The hotel territory is very beautiful, green, well maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast, although the same everyday, but very abundant and tasty. Hotel manager Mr. Ashaf is always smiling, kind, friendly, helpful person and i can say the same about all the service staff. I am very grateful to all of them for the great time i had here. The hotel is very safe. Even when I went out into town, I never locked the door of my room. I knew that my property was in good hands. The beach is spacious and good. Although during the day, tourists are brought here from other hotels of this chain, which are far from the sea, but there is definitely enough space for everyone. Until 9 am and in the evenings, there is complete peace here. You feel as if you are in your own villa on the seashore. A very good bridge for entering the sea. The riff is nice as well. Best wishes to all hotel staff and Mr.Ashaf I really didn't want to leave this wonderful paradise.

EgyptIt is written on their site that they offer two meals but it wasn’t clear that they were breakfast and lunch.
This place is perfect for sea lovers , it’s located in on of the best snorkeling spots in Egypt. The hospitality was great and the hotel manager Ashraf Mohsen was always helpful and making sure we’re enjoying our time. I strongly suggest this place for people who love the quiet at night and want to enjoy the view. If you want to party at night in the hotel that’s not really your place.
