The location was great and in the middle of Nubian village and market. The host Ahmed is super friendly and helpful.

It's right in the middle of town so plenty of hustle and bustle - fine if this is what you are looking for but it's noisy, especially in the morning.

Friendly, helpful staff. Relaxing feel to the place with large areas for sitting both inside and outside. Best lemon mint in Aswan! Comfy bed and the room was very clean.

Literally nothing. Maybe just the toilet boiler needs to last longer for hot showers.

We travelled as a couple. This hotel was our highlight for the whole trip. It is not the most luxurious in Nuba. However you feel at home. Hygiene is top. Nice scent in the room. Breakfast is delicious and generous. The two mekkawy brothers, Ahmed & Mohamed are very generous, and always ready to help without even noticing they are there. I stayed in a lot of egyptian & european hotels but this one left a very happy memory.

Nothing really, they are the best! There are few things to know for the upcoming guests: the take away breakfast was not the same with the actual one. So if you need to leave early in the morning, you will have packed sandwiches. But the actual breakfast is way more delicious. ;) Secondly, you need car to get there, however the guest house in the middle of the market and you need some good driving skills to move in the narrow streets.

Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Especially thanks to Ahmed, we could spend great time there. The guest house is located in the heart of Nubian Village, people are great. Very clean and cute rooms. Good value for a cost efficient trip. But the greatest part was the breakfast. It was humble but the best, especially comparing similar hotels and guest houses in Egypt. We will always remember this cute village and Lawanda Nubian House. Thank you!

The Nubian village is a little away from Aswan, that may make things more complicated than usual.

I traveled through all of Egypt, this hotel was overall the best (and one of the cheapest). It offers no luxury, but excellent value for money.

Super friendly staff. The room and common areas where very very clean. Staff is always willing to help in whatever you need. It is located in the heart of the nubian village with a pretty nice terrace with panoramic views. It looks exactly like the pictures and it's a great value for what we paid for

This place is absolutely amazing. We were so happy to meet the Nubian people through Ahmed and his family. They are extremely kind, sweet, helpful, honest and we would love to come back just to get to know them more. They were always super attentive and careful. The food was delicious, the place super clean, comfy and in the heart of the village. We are so grateful to meet them and stay with them.

Hard to find electric outlets in common areas. WiFi was not great.

The people's kindness and helping to make a birthday special and arranging tours at fair prices. The common areas are large and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing.

The room was small, so I'm glad we didn't have too much luggage. However, I would not expect a larger room for the small price we paid. Only thing would be that in one of our two rooms, we couldnt control the air conditioning temp as the remote was broken, but the air conditioning could still be used. We understand these are expensive things to fix and this can happen.

Good value for money! The owner was welcoming and accommodating. He was also one of few people we encountered in Egypt who didn't try to hustle or hassle us, so thank you. The breakfast was delicious! We felt safe here. Being in the Nubian village was much nicer than staying in Aswan city. The owner helped us organise a boat to King Jamaica restaurant as well as deal with our rubbish driver we unfortunately booked online. (btw, I advise you booked drivers through hotels and regret that we didn't)

Lawanda was a great place to explore the Nubian village. The food was lovely and Ahmed was so helpful organising pickup, drivers and a felucca for us. Would definitely recommend when staying in Aswan.
