The breakfast arrangement : extensive variety but 1- no hot milk for self serve and waiters were not really good to respond to such request 2- the red hair dining room supervisor instructing the waiter to do obviously unhygienic practice to prepare our table one morning and when i pointed it out I was ignored for the following couple of days. 3- the expectation that you get tips to give service, very off putting, although we gave tips but i missed the pleasurable feeling of giving because i am grateful bot because I have to do that to get what I am entitled. 4- inconsistency in service regarding the towels , cleaning and food quality, 5- The falafel was oily and lacking greens and spice. Baklava was dry and tasteless, so was the Konafa 6- very difficult for non smokers to find area clear from smoke

Breakfast is boring, long lines for coffee, no paper cups. Cleaning is not well, for 5 nights was very dusty under the extra kid bed(looks like nobody clean under). Kids club almost nothing, there is no program for kids entertainment, you have to looking for a staff. Big prices for the baby sitting where kids just watch tv and that’s all.

Near with the sea, value for money, pretty good size of room for the family. Swimming pool.

I'm completely nitpicking here because really everything was great. I would say there are only 3 issues with this resort: 1. The biggest issue: if you're someone like me who wants to swim in the sea first and foremost, then you'll be sorely disappointed. The beach is terrible and lined with rocks and stones all across. To make things worse, the water level is very shallow for a very long distance from the water edge. Bottom line is, unless you're willing to take a shuttle to another beach, you're going to be stuck with the pool, or the lagoon which has this strange sticky floor under your feet. 2. The layout of this resort is very confusing. And the signage is rather vague and confusing. You'll be walking and getting lost a lot here. 3. Not really an issue, but I think the theme is a bit aging. They need to repaint away from that nursing home salmon color. Also, you can easily notice that the furniture and fixed features are the same as the day they opened, which was clearly decades ago. When you're not distracted by the amazing service and facilities and gorgeous room, you'll feel you're in a 90s hospital.

Honestly everything was great. But the best thing is how friendly and professional everyone was. The service level is truly exceptional.

Enjoyed our stay, but the Brazil Samba dance's attire wasn't kid-appropriate for a family hotel, a detail to consider for future events.

Absolutely loved our stay at Movenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna! Our room got a fantastic upgrade to face the lagoon. The resort is a paradise for families, packed with fun activities and entertainment. Every amenity, from the gym to the spa, was exceptional. Movenpick El Gouna made our getaway truly memorable. A big thumbs up and a definite must-visit!

Unfortunately my stay was compromised by an issue between Booking.com and the Hotel since I had selected the "Pay Now" option when booking my room on the Booking.com website and my credit card was not charged. When I arrived at the hotel, I had to pay for my stay and the day after my credit card was charged for my stay for a second time. After 3 days, I haven't been reimbursed yet and, despite how helpful were the managers in understanding and solving the double payment problem, I was not offered any type of compensation such as a complimentary dinner or night to make up the damage caused.

The hotel's location is excellent with direct access to the beach. In addition, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful in solving any issue that may arise at anytime. The breakfast buffet is very rich in varieties that fit all tastes including people who are vegetarians or vegan.

We had the worst experience ever with the reception. We booked a double bed bedroom and the first room they gave us had 2 single beds. We ask to change and they told us: "we are giving you one of our best room". In reality it was worst and still with 2 single beds. In the end, they did not have a double bed room for the first day, so we staied with 2 single beds. Just to mention that all this happened at 10 in the evening, after a full day travelling and considering that from the reception to the room there are at least 500 meters walking with luggage. After what you pay, no compensation was given... In addition, 1 day we had issue with the WiFi in the room. Again, we called multiple times the reception to fix it. Each time we were told that they would check and call back. Unfortunately they never called back and for 1 and a half day we were left without internet..

The facility is really well kept and the staff working in the restaurant and around the area were super friendly and helpful when needed

Beautiful, spacious double room deluxe with sea view & lagoon, the whole atmosphere is relaxing and chill. Very good food at the buffet and the Christmas dinner was original for us with belly dancing. We will definitely come back!
