How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The name! Cmon guys, you can’t expect somebody when they are asked in which hostel they are staying in, to say „My hostel“ because it is not there’s but then again it somehow is, because you feel at home straight away;D Maybe if you are noise sensitive, be a bit aware that it’s a hostel, where people have fun, but I slept perfectly fine with earplugs. :)
Where do I even start. This place was amazing!!! The people working there are so lovely, very kind, helpful and the owner is a great person as well. And I loved the fact that They are honest with their recommendations. The beds were super comfy and the breakfast was great as well! And a great place to socialize as well.

It can be sometimes slightly loud outside of the hostel at night from the nearby restaurants if you’re trying to sleep but it’s not that big of a deal
Absolutely loved my stay there! Everyone’s so friendly and the location is literally in a perfect location. Stone throw from supermarkets, restaurants, beach and a diving center downstairs :)!

The staff is really awesome, the spirit of the place is very good, they have a very nice rooftop so you can meet people so it will be good choice if you go for a solo trip, the breakfast is good, definitely will go there again.

A nice place located in middle of a very lively area where you find almost all what you need for food, drycleaners...etc. It has a very nice social vibes, as it has nice rooftop with a drives community. so if you are a solo traveller, you will have a good chance to exchange talk with some interesting people.

All is great
The staff and diving center, the breakfast, the rooftop and general vibes of this cool hostel. They arranged trips to dive and also taxis to or from the airport.

The staff was amazingly nice, everything was clean ! If you’re a party person you will enjoy much, if you want a quiet place maybe it isn’t the best option but you would have great time here for sure ☺️

Having a shower inside toilet no separate shower

This place is lucky to have the best people from Dahab on its team. The atmosphere in the hostel is so open, warm and welcoming that you always want to stay there a little longer and postpone your flight. the included diving center has the same vibe and diving becomes so easy and convenient, as it is right downstairs.

The wifi only worked on the terrace, and it's extremely windy, so it was hard to sit there with all that wind. They nickel and dime you for everything, and the tours were a little too expensive for what they offered. People that didn't stay there used to come over every day to work remotely. After 32 days I left, and one day I went over to use the wifi to write this review, and I was told to leave or pay 120 EP because I wasn't staying there any longer so I could not use the wifi. I understand is his hostel and he has the right to manage it whichever way he wants, but I don't like different rules for different people, especially when the people coming over, work for eight hours a day every day, and I was only there for a few minutes to write the review and check my email.
The bed was comfortable. The hostel was cute and the people working there were friendly, fun, and welcoming. The new cook from Jordan was really good and kept the kitchen clean.

Could use some warmer blankets for the winter. I stole a blanket off of an empty bed.
Staff are awesome, and they have a great rooftop hangout. Everything was nice and clean. Staff were up cleaning the bathrooms at 7 am. The kitchen is on the rooftop, and breakfast is good .

Staff couldn't turn water into wine (but they tried, so full points)
Location is nice, both the staff and the clientele are chill, there's a diving shop with discounts next door, breakfast was varied for Egypt, a trip to Sinai was organized for a great price, did I mention everyone is CHILL. Best stay for Dahab, I'm positive of it.

The hostel is perfectly located in the center of Dahab and very close to the sea. The staff are so friendly and always ready to help you with anything you nice. It is also the perfect place if you're looking to meet other solo travellers.

They kept my passport and forgot about it until I reminded them. Toilet and bathroom same room, so toilet paper is wet and the place smells sometimes
