The hospitality and atmosphere they create. It is literally heartwarming and it is really helpful for first visit tourists in Aswan and Egypt. They considered my plans and gave me some advice. It's worth of being reliable.

The quality is according to what you pay . Being said, the place is clean and close to the center and Aswan dock. Why a 10/10?. Because of the land lord, Mostafa. This man is super gentle and is available almost most of the time. At arriving at Aswan my flight was delayed 5 hours due to a sandstorm and he got me a taxi to wait in the airport for a very good price. He also got me very cheap deals for going to Abu Simbel and traveling from Aswan to Luxor, with all the drivers very quiet and gentle people as him. I really recommend it.

The family is exceptionally kind and helpful. They create a true feeling of safety and hospitality. We were so happy to have stayed at Mustafa's and to meet him and his family. Safe space in center for both lone travellers, women, and families with small children.

Very convenient location. There are a lot of shops and street food around. 2 minutes walk to the bank of the Nile. The rooms, kitchens and shared bathrooms are very clean. The owner, Mr. Mustafa, is a very helpful and honest person. Would I stay there again: YES

The Host and his family were super-helpful and welcoming. The private room with shared kitchen and lounge was a great way to meet other travellers of all nationalities. Very central: just 4 minutes' walk to the Nile and also the pick up for Abu Simbel trip. I booked the very good value trip to Abu with Mustafa- he even came with us to the pick up point at 4 am!

On arrival the entrance is unassuming but thankfully we were met at the door, otherwise one might not have found it .

Lovely and clean. Tiled floors are welcoming. People are lovely and organised a trip to abu simbal that went smoothly. Good location and great facilities. When booking i had not intended to do laundry, but we were pleased to be able to do so. Only spent one night but we all wished we could have stayed longer as the communal areas were spacious and relaxing. The WiFi works well and so the kids were delighted.

The owner is kind, friendly, polite and heplful. Room is clean. Besides, the hostel has a good location, right at the center of the city, very convenient to walk to deck for boat over to Elephantine island, Nubian museum, Cataract Old Hotel....

This is just a general point, not specific to this property: It is worth pointing out that Egyptian towns and cities have quite a lot of ongoing construction, and that - if you chose such a super, central location- it will come with normal city noise, ( light sleepers should use earplugs, as in any city in the world!) and dusty streets! Personally, I found it better than Luxor for noise. There is some mention in reviews of one of the buildings having renovation work on some floors- but I did not have any disturbance from this. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Aswan.

Particularly noteworthy was the Owner, Mustafa 's, professionalism and help, and the welcoming nature of him and his family. There are several apartments, and you get your own bedroom with full use of the common area- bathroom,kitchen and living room. This gives opportunity to meet and chat with a wide range of nationalities in fellow guests, and exchange info etc. Mustafa can anyway give you all the info you need, as well as offer / arrange very good value trips and onwards travel. As a single female traveller, I felt especially safe and reassured. If you use the kitchen, please have respect to your flatmates to leave the place as you find it, rather than criticize because you haven't! The accommodation is, as advertised, clean, simple and characteristic, and typical of Egyptian city life. It is good value , with everything you need- for example, the only place in Egypt I found a clotheshorse and an Iron and board! The free WiFi worked better than my current 4 star hotel, but you should not expect speeds like at home- I never found that in 4 weeks in Egypt. The entrance was up a side, non-tarmac street (very normal in Egypt) , but traffic was not allowed down it, which is good. Location is so handy for shops ,souk etc, and only 5 minute walk for both the Abu Simbel pick up, and the Nile.

Located in a strategic position, it was a very pleasant stay, made perfect by the host who followed and pampered us for all the days of our stay. Mustafa is a very trustworthy and thoughtful person. Difficult to leave!
