Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe wifi is only accessible at the main hall downstairs. The bar/restaurant on the rooftop didn't have much to offer and was not very attractive, we preferred going to a restaurant close by.
The view of Elephantine Island and the dunes behind, from the room was amazing. The rooftop has a breathtaking 360° view rooftop. The room was clean and comfortable.

United KingdomWhen we arrived in the airport transfer we’d booked through the hotel the receptionist tried to get us to pay more than the agreed cost before eventually backing down and noting this was a mistake and they had mistaken us for someone else. Not impressed by this attempt to make extra money.
Amazing views of the Nile and over to Elephantine Island from our hotel room window. Good sized room. Great central location. Great for exploring Aswan and Elephantine and Kitchener Islands from. When our Nile cruise was unexpectedly cancelled the hotel allowed us to book additional nights at the same rate. Which really helped us out.

NorwayThe lift doesn't work. The 1xx rooms are actually at the third floor, so a lot of stairs (i didn't mind, but others might). Breakfast was bad. The chairs in the room looked dirty and the doors of the wardrobe are in a bad state, but still usable. I would give a higher score, if not for the fake price. The price I actually had to pay was 27% higher... I was going to give it a low score because of it, but it is my fault. The price displayed on the main page in Booking doesn't include some extra taxes. Those are visible only if you search for them in the price breakdown. So be aware of it, there is a 27% tax VAT (14.0000%) Property service charge (12.0000%) City tax (1.0000%)
I came here with low expectation because of the numerous negative reviews across different platforms (Booking and Google), but I was okay with what I got. The place looks old, but the room is great, big and very comfortable. The staff was nice and helped me book the ride to Abu Simbel at a great price (a bit lower than what I heard online). There was a way too big fridge in my room. The bathroom was clean and no issues with the shower. The view from the balcony is great. I had to ask for towels, but they gladly provided me some. No body towel, that's true, but I managed with a face towel.

Breakfast a bit slack... the first morning the hot water heater had not been turned on... so no hot water for a bit. Needs to be clearer for guests that they are expected to collect their food bits. Bed was not made after the first night... I didnt mind... but some people would think that was a natural service in a hotel. And the fan/air conditioner control is difficult to work.

United StatesWe loved our room with a great view of the Nile and Elephantine Island. But, it’s a busy street, if you are looking for quiet, ask for a room off the street.
The location for this hotel is ideal. It is right on the Main Street and just across the street from the Panorama Point. Mena, the owner is happy to arrange travel for you to the many sights around Aswan. We went by private car to Abu Simbel and to Philea. Both were amazing! The sunset felucca ride with Ahmed was lovely and relaxing. Don’t miss eating at the Crepe Restaurant just next door; it’s delicious and reasonably priced.
