Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The food is delicious, and freshly cooked. It is in a countryside setting, the rooms are quiet and we had a room with a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. The staff treat you like family and nothing is too much trouble. The taxi driver has his taxi at the hotel and the rates are reasonable.

United StatesThe hotel was pretty hard for guide services to find. Mabey could use a sign out front. But other than that I have zero complaints about this beautiful establishment
The owner of the hotel helped us out huge on the first day. Our guide service had a problem to where they were not able to pick us up from our location at the hotel. So the owner with out us asking took us to meet up with them and we tried to tip him for his kind jester and he refused. Very very nice people great food and will give you good conversation!

United KingdomWell if your plan is to stay several days on left side of the Nile in order to visit all available archeological sites, this is a perfect base! If you don't have Luxor Pass, you will need to buy all tickets separatly in a ticket office which is on the other side of the road. All locations are relaively close (except Valley of the Kings, but we manage to get there on foot anyway) and accesible by walk, but it's not a problem to call a taxi there (or a random car, for few EGP everyone will agree to give you a short ride). Staff is very nice, attentive and helpful and food is delicious (in addition to brekfast you can also order lunch/dinner here).

Italy- Poor Wi-Fi, not available in the rooms but only downstairs .
Located in the West Bank just in front of the Antiquities bureau ticket office and “walking” distance to Valley of queens and workers tombs and you can rent a bike to reach all other sites if interest in the West Bank. Felt like home and looking forward to be back after a busy days of sightseeing . Very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was extremely nice and dinners were available at a very reasonable price and were delicious . Staff extremely helpful.

What a beautiful, authentic property! Our 4 day stay here was a true highlight of our month in Egypt. Every evening we enjoyed wonderful home cooked food and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Our two children passed hours playing with the local neighborhood children and we enjoyed strolling to the nearby local sites and stopping for sugarcane juice on the way. The guesthouse also organized our guide and driver for our tour to the Valley of the Kings, which was outstanding! The hot air balloons also fly over the property every morning, which was a beautiful site!

GreeceIt is a special hotel close to all the sites on the West Bank. Built of adobe it is quaint and down to earth if that is what you are looking for. The food is excellent and the dining area is like being on the country side. You can rent bicycles to visit the west bank sites, and it is a short taxi or mini bus ride to the ferry to cross over to the east bank.

GermanyThe beds were a bit hard, but that can definitely be overlooked when taking everything else into account.
The hotel was great and the staff were very kind and helpful. We felt at home, yet also as if we were in an exotic ancient paradise. You feel like you're really in Egypt here. The breakfast was delicious and the outside cafeteria area is heavenly. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Luxor and West Thebes.

JordanWonderful traditional mudhouse right opposite the ticket office. You cannot have a closer location as basis to see all the main luxor sights, still it's absolutely peaceful in an orchard of palm trees. The rooms have all the comfort like AC, fan, own bathroom, balcony (from which you can even see the memnon colossus), but are decorated in local style, like furniture made from palm trees. You can enjoy the hospitality of Mahmood's kind family, and the delicious dishes in their restaurant (duck with orange sauce or crispy aubergine for example). and they can organize any kind of trip/sightseeing you might like to do at very reasonable prices, but they also just give advice if you prefer to do your own thing. simply a great place to stay, i will definitely come back!

ChinaOur bed room, though seemingly acceptable at first glance, quickly revealed its disappointing conditions. The space was not only old but also poorly maintained, with dust settled on much of the furniture. Upon attempting to sleep, we encountered a disturbing situation: the beds were infested with wriggling maggots, discovering five on the mattress alone, and even more on the floor. This alarming discovery resulted in a sleepless night filled with discomfort and unease. The hostel desperately needs to improve its cleanliness and pest control measures.
The hostel's restaurant offered nice dining, with fresh, delicious meals and friendly staff. The duck dish tasted good.

AlbaniaEverything else. Conditions for 1990. As soon as we step into the room, we see that the bed is dirty. They cleaned it but because it's very old, the dirty fell from the ceiling all night. It's very hard to sleep when you feel uncomfortable and dirty. The bathroom is very bad, and a lot of insects in the apartment 😒 😑 I'm so glad we stayed only one night there. I hope they make reconstruction soon because they are very helpful for everything else.
