How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

That I couldn't stay longer!
The staff were all wonderful - friendly, open, helpful and kind. My ensuite room was private, spacious and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed! The community areas such as the large, airy kitchen, the arisha and other seating areas were great for facilities and meeting other guests, some who are now friends, and the whole vibe of the camp is welcoming, peaceful and relaxing. Would return today if I could! Many thanks again to Kamal, Ahmed, Mohammed, Abu Abdullah for all their incredible help and generosity. Look forward to seeing you all again.🤩👌🏼🕌

Would be usefull for us to put a sign on car gate that main entrance is on the other side :D Bathroom door cannot be really closed. Water stream from shower is weak, handsoap needs to be updated. Light on the balcony was not working.
We really loved the location, you can reach all the Dahab by walking very easily from here. Room was nice, windows have net against mosquitos and you are getting some daylight. There was even nice balcony with view to the hotel area. Big wardrobe in the room. Reception is open all the time (1st time we were trying to enter from the car gates on the oposite side of hotel area :D). Staff was helpful, when we asked for towels or toilet paper, we always received it on the spot.

The hotel location is well suited near the middle of Dahab’s walkway. All activities, shops, and amenities were near by. The rooms were nice with good air conditioning, I opted for a room with a private bathroom and it was well equipped, even though the hotel also offers a clean shared bathroom with a shower free to be used by any of the guests. The staff were really friendly and unobtrusive. They are always welling to help when you need it, I would like to thank them for their amazing hospitality. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a reasonably priced lodging in Dahab. Pro Tip: If you like cats just set in the hotel’s yard area, you will have the chance to meet the friendliest cats, they are so gentle and cute 🥰. If you are a cat person you will feel right at home. Also the Dog Diwan was such a charmer 😍

Very welcoming and kinds hosts, The place is very clean and they take care to keep it like this! It is central, with a 2 min walk you are on the boardwalk of Dahab, where all the shops, restaurants and the sea:) The room is nice, basic, but you don't need more, comfort kitchen where you can cook if you like and commune area to sit down, relax, have your tea and meet some people :) Great value for the money!

Only down side is that they dilute the soaps with water. For the bathroom it's not so bad, but in the community kitchen it's difficult to clean things properly.
The location is very central and close to the main promenade. There is a shop 1 minute away that works 24 hours. The whole place is clean and it's kept tidy all the time. The public bathroom is clean and they maintain it all the time (there is toilet paper and soap at all times)

We stayed for a week at Oasis Fighting Kangaroo and had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and helpful, even when we arrived at 4am. The location is great - near the sea, lots of restaurants and a good supermarket. The room and facilities were very clean.

Neighbourhood dusty, constructions/demolitions on going. Wifi acceptable, but sometimes lost
Very good value for money right in the center. Non stop security guards and cleaning people. Rooms basic with air conditioning, common kitchen and relax place.
