Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalOur room (although we booked one of the biggest) was small and had a very narrow corridor leading to the balcony (with a fantastic view over the pyramids and sphinx). Unfortunately this was the only place with a bit of space to keep our suitcases but as it was so narrow we could barely open them (2 big suitcases).. If you’re traveling with few luggage then you should be ok but not with luggage for a month travel around Egypt (at least not for us). The bathroom is in urgent need of a deep cleansing. The tiles are very yellow (original color was definitely white). As we only spent there 2 nights and the main purpose (to be as close as possible from the Giza Plateau) was achieved, this is overall a good place to stay.
The location is unbeatable and the staff is very nice and helpful

Germany(Read until the end) Me and my friends booked a full day transportation service through El Cairo to visit the most important spots of the city for a fair price. At some point during the day there was some miscommunication with the driver (who was also super friendly) about visiting a place that for him was not included but that we were told at the hotel it was indeed. As it was a miscommunication we simply contacted the hotel and in a matter of 20 minutes while we were eating something everything was sorted out and we could continue with the tour as promised, which also makes me recommend taking tours organized by them, most of other places will not respect the deal or ask for more money, but not here.
First of all, staff from the hotel are super friendly and helpful. I arrived to the hotel very early in the morning (7:00 am), but they could give me a room right away, which was very nice and most hotels don’t do this. They even let one of my friends staying in a different hotel have breakfast at the rooftop with me free of charge. The rooftop has an amazing view to the pyramids and was very comfortable. Even though the neighborhood is a bit chaotic and hotel is not a 5 stars hotel, once inside the hotel one can relax and enjoy the stay. Tours to the city.

United KingdomThe local vendors in the street outside can be very noisy. There are a number of staircases to the rooftop restaurant, so anyone with mobility issues would find this hotel a challenge.
A lovely, well placed hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was basic, but clean. Wifi is a bit hit and miss, as it is generally in Egypt. Breakfast was good, particularly with such a view of the pyramids and sphinx. Lots of local colour with the camels and horses going to the entrance early in the morning. Would be happy to stay here again.

United StatesThe hotel room was small but adequate. The bathroom shower was very small, which made showering difficult for my 6'5 husband. Our room had a beautiful view of the pyramids but with the view came A LOT of street noise. We got in very late the first night we stayed and they ran our credit card for our room, they told us the server was down and the card did not process so they could not provide us a receipt. The next day they asked to run our card again but I had got notification from our credit card company that the transaction had went through and we did not owe anything. The staff called their bank and their bank said it had not went through. We called our credit card company and they said it had been processed. So we had no choice but to have them run our card again and this resulted in duplicate charges. I am now having to dispute one of the charges on my credit card since there are two. This was very irritating that while on vacation we had to spend a lot of time on the phone trying to sort this out and now since we are back we are having to do the same. I am not saying this was dishonest by the hotel, they did say they called their bank and their bank said the charge had not went through, so I am not sure why we essentially paid for our room twice? But hopefully we can get the one charge reversed. I would recommend that you pre-pay for your room before checking in.
You cannot get a better view of the pyramids of Giza than this hotel! We were close to restaurants and shops and get a short walk to the entrance of the pyramids.

United KingdomThe room wasn't very soundproof. If you are easily disturbed by noise, then maybe this isn't for you, but after long days of sightseeing I slept pretty well!
The location next to the Sphinx gate for the Giza pyramids complex is great and means avoiding the big crowds at the main gate, especially if you go early. Breakfast was very good, and eating it with a view from the roof terrace overlooking the pyramids was wonderful. Views from the balcony just as good (thanks for the upgrade!). Staff were very helpful and made our stay as comfortable as possible.
