Our room was noisy - though the hotel is not on the main street, the windows are not well isolated. We were on the 2nd floor and we were able to hear everything that was happening outside, so it was difficult to sleep. We were expecting sleepers and robes, but they were not in our room. The pillows were large and uncomfortable, however, when we asked the staff whether they had other types of pillows available, they did bring smaller ones. I only wish I asked that straight away rather than after a few days. The rooms are a bit dusty and a bit dated. There is some misunderstanding regarding the items left on the table rather than thrown away - I bought a large piece of cake in hotel's cafe and only managed to eat half of it before going out, so the rest was left in its box on the table. Unfortunately, when I returned, the room was cleaned and there were no cake. I assume the staff thought I did not want it anymore and removed it when cleaning the room.

Somehow I booked this hotel for 2025 rather than 2024, and when we arrived to the hotel in May 2024 around mid night, the manager was not able to find our booking at first, and only after a while found it and explained the situation. He was not able to resolve it as, according to him, the hotel was fully booked. However, when I tried to modify the year on my booking.com reservation, a room was available and was cheaper than in 2025 :), so I was able to easily modify my booking by making a few clicks. Many thanks to booking.com for this!!! It would be a horrible start otherwise. Polite staff, nice hotel and tasty breakfast available from 6am each day, which was helpful as we had excursions starting at 7am. Large room. Shower facilities near the swimming pool, which was great especially during our last day, as we were leaving in the evening and it was +42 outside.

Location was in Dokki which is so how in the old town so I have to be prepared and have an idea about the neighbourhood. It wasn’t bad actually but some will think it’s scary but it’s not. Plus it’s a bit expensive

To be honest I was surprised by how neat and will maintained. The room was spacious, clean and most of the rooms have a view on the pool which was an add to this hotel although I didn’t use it. The staff were cooperative and try to help as much as the can so thank you for that. They take security for real and will not allow any suspicious activity in the hotel so it’s a family atmosphere

We surprised that such a high end hotel would turn out to be dry: there is no bar on site or availability of wine, beer, or spirits.

The Safir Hotel is a well managed and maintained "5 star" hotel in Cairo. It is run by a Middle Eastern chain rather than one of the big western name brands, which seemed to be reflected in slightly lower pricing. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast plentiful, and facilities nice.

The hotel has a feel of being a little old or outdated, although still clean.

The staff were friendly, the hotel is nice and has excellent buffet breakfast. They have 24 hours room service. We ordered a dinner after midnight and it was great and was prepared fast. Check-in was smooth.

The bed was very comfortable. We had lunch at the main Egyptian restaurant and the food and service were more than excellent. Mr. Badawi was visiting very helpful and helped us choose. We met friends at the lobby and enjoyed the coffee and fresh juice immensely.We would definitely stay there again
