Very little. Everything that Shams can control, they have done. It is a bit noisy, but I found Egypt a bit noisy in general!

The staff are lovely, in particular Ashraf is the star of the show. He was so kind to my daughter. Dive centre and equipment is really clean. All the dive instructers I met were gentle and kind. The restaurant is on the water, is comfortable and you are welcome to sit there at anytime.

This is very small, but I originally booked a double bed in a larger room. I was given a room with three single beds. When I mentioned this, I was offered a double bed immediately, but in smaller room. I choose to stay in the larger room because of the nicer balcony, but during my stay, I realized I would have preferred the double bed as I originally booked. So maybe more attention to details like that.

Rarely as a solo traveler have I ever felt so welcome. The staff is exceptional. All of them from the manager, to reception, to housekeeping, to the restaurant, to the dive center, went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, while maintaining a friendly and easy-going attitude. When I left, I felt like I was leaving friends. Plus the location and facilities are amazing! Comfortable yet unpretentious!

I am so happy that I have stayed here and met with Sarah and Yusuf (my diving instructor) and other guys who helped me a lot for anything that I have asked literally. Place itself is super easy to come and very close to all entertainment thay you may look. Plus hotel has diving center, if you are willing to dive they are super cool to assist and redirect you according to your level, expectations. They even arranged for me St Catherine visit smoothly. I will definetely will be back and stay more and more!

I would give more than 10 if there was the option! Everything was perfect. Location, room, breakfast. They will also help you organise the best trips (hiking, snorkelling, diving..) The bathroom is a bit old and needs some maintenance. The toilet in their diving centre is better than in the rooms.

Good value for the price we are paying. Breakfast is good. The location is also good. The hotel helped us to book a taxi from and to Sharm-El-Sherik. It's 35 USD per way. Cats are lovely.

The bathroom was a little basic and we would have appreciated having a cupboard to store our things. The shower without cubicle is not very practical. The breakfast service was a little slow.

Very short stay.

Booked this hotel at last minute, but is was definitely the best stay we had in our 2 week vacation in Egipt. From the property itself, that has a distinguished relaxed vibe, to the extreme attention from staff, to the the rooms, you leave this place wanting to comeback. We booked a room, but ended up staying in a bungalow and it was so cool. As Sara said, it is very cozy!

The only major negative is that they didn't provide water, coffee/tea mugs or basic cutlery in the room like most hotels do in this price range. You had to ask for these things to get service. In the restaurant, the Egyptian breakfast is great, but the other options weren't that good. But apart from that, very good stay.

Shams was a great stay for us in Dahab. We were there for 3-4 days and they were all amazing. The property is right on waterfront near the beginning of the promenade. The location is amazing as you can just walk along the promenade to find anything and everything you want. Their restaurant overlooks the sea and is a great place to eat and/or read. Their food is good, but the coffee leaves something to be desired. The room is very comfortable and clean. The linen and towels were pristine. The bathroom was also good, though I wish the bidet worked. They also helped book some very cheap airport transfers for us. Overall well worth the money and some of the best days we spent in Dahab.
