Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThis is the most stunning place we have ever stayed at! The location is wonderful, the food is fairly priced and really amazing and the owners are the most loving people ever. The family took care of everything and we felt right at home. The property is huge and you have a lot of cute areas to chill and relax. We recommend staying here for at least a few days to fully enjoy your stay. You can charge your electronics in the common areas and if you have a local sim, you will have mobile data in some places. Bring some mosquito repellent with you and you'll enjoy this heavenly place for sure! Still not over how amazing this was!! We will be back for sure!

South KoreaGreat facilities and atmosphere to relax with amazingly wonderful rock mountain and lake view. Friendly staffs and cute dogs :) Delicious breakfast. Even though there are some restrictions on using of water and electricity like other ecolodges, but you can effortlessly accept this as a part of Siwa life 😀

United StatesI'll start with how breakfast was thoughtful and delightful! Definitely worth waking up for, so fresh! They have the most thoughtful and helpful staff and in addition to their own staff, they are well connected with the community. They were able to arrange everything we wanted to do, and typically under a very tight timeline. They also have a lovely little shop that his packed with local delights. I was visiting with family but it was a trip I took with my sister and our children, and notably without any adult male. As a single mom, it is always important to be able to feel safe and secure in new places. Talist hit and exceeded the mark here! Would recommend 100%.

AustriaThe only thing some might find annoying is that there is no hot water in the bathroom. We didn't mind as the weather is hot all day anyway and the water isn't that cold.
The oasis of Siwa and its surroundings and especially this PERFECT ACCOMMODATION were the only positive exception concerning the people (not a single scam, only respectful people in Siwa). The hostess is a wonderful, open-minded, educated, uncomplicated and honest woman and the staff consists of extremely respectful, friendly and always helpful people. Even my wife never felt uncomfortable or "ogled" when bathing in her swim suit. The rooms are simple but large, cosy and tastefully furnished. All windows are fitted with fine-mesh nets, which meant we could sleep with the windows open at night without having mosquitoes in the room. We had a USB socket to charge our mobile phones in the room. In the public area also 230V sockets are provided. An encrypted wifi network was indicated on the mobile phone, but we had no need and therefore did not ask. Candles are provided free of charge which make evenings in the room or in the private lounge outside even cosier. There is a very large natural pool and extensive relaxing areas with plenty of sun and shade spots. Furthermore, it is only a 3 min walk to the lake. There, the accommodation also provides sun loungers and shady shelters. What is also particularly impressive is that the rocks rise directly behind the accommodation, to which one can walk with simple shoes. The rocks offer a wonderful view and are also very interesting themselves due to the many fossils in the rocks. Breakfast and the optional dinner are freshly prepared daily and extremely delicious. The portions are more than generous. The whole area is very quiet. Siwa town is a 10-minute drive away. Having your own car is the best option. There is no public transport to the accommodation, but in Siwa town there are taxis and tuktuks available which will take you to Talist Siwa for little money. On our trip, Talist Siwa was the most beautiful and best accommodation and we would choose it again anytime.

ItalyIt isn’t about property. Get ready for flies. There are a lot of flies. But this is a feature of Siwa, as I understand it.
Absolutely everything! Atmosphere just like home. I really like that they have chickens and ducks and sitting and watching them is very relaxing. There’s a special bungalow for yoga & meditation sessions and if someone looking for everyday yoga practice this bungalow will be the hotspot. Hospitality is 100+ I was really surprised. Cleanliness is everywhere. The bungalows, common areas and grounds are very clean and this was a huge plus for me especially when you came after Cairo))

United KingdomWe love it’s isolation - away from the busy, populated streets like Cairo. The location is a few metres away from the natural Salt Lake with a private cabin for public use but it seems not many use it all - a true gem!

EgyptA very tranquil place with nice pool and sitting outdoor and indoor areas overlooking the lake and surrounded by splendid nature, the way the place was built flows in harmony with siwa in every aspect, the materials, colors, ventilation and lighting used is very sustainable, perfect place to disconnect at the same time not far from town (20 min). The owner gave me a double room instead of a single one which was my initial booking which was so generous of him. Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back.

Talist is a perfect place for staying in Siwa. Every detail has been thought through carefully. Breakfast was exceptional! It's a family place and from the first moment you feel like you are part of the family. It's an ecolodge in the dessert that runs on solar power, so from time to time it could happen that there's a problem with electricity or warm water, but the staff is very attentive and they do their best to solve your problem as fast as they could.

FranceRooms are a bit dusty and have no shampoo, Another surprise is no electric charger capacity in the room. There is a USB charger in the room, but it doesn’t work. There are USB chargers at the reception, but they do not work at night. Lastly, the hotel does Not accept credit cards at all. This is not stated on Booking.com, and can be tricky if you don’t have cash on hand Disapointing…this is 2021 after all.

* Friendliness of the owners and all the staff. They were so supportive, bringing us everything we wished for (even things that were nowhere to be found in Siwa!). They helped us plan our trips as well. * The Food! Big breakfast (including the stunning “olive jam” and perfectly crunchy Tameyya), as well as the dinner, highlighted by the Moussaka * Architectural design and beauty of the place, sunset views, room design.
