They were building a big garden right in front of the hotel with many dump truck deliveries which resulted in a lot of dust and noise while we were there. The WiFi was slow and was not working in our rooms. The location is far from restaurants and the city.

We liked the hotel. It had great views looking over the water! It was very close to the temple. Breakfast was included for us and was great. We had dinner there too and it was good food.

Amazing location! Super friendly and polite staff. We enjoyed an amazingly delicious local lunch after the city observation. The hotel is located in a fantastic and authentic place at the riverside. This place is highly recommended for a short stay to see the Philae Temple.

Fantastic Nubian style house hotel with amazing views. We Aussies -found the tranquillity of this location welcome after busy tourist filled daily adventures in Aswan surrounds, especially the rooftop at sunset. Sied, the Wanas family and their employees are lovely, humble and hospitable. Breakfast is generous. We fully recommend having dinner onsite. Mama Wanas's cooking was the most authentic food we experienced in our 3 weeks in Egypt, (especially Molokia). A shout out also to their drivers including Abdul for all the fun trips and your patience. Tania and Louis.

One of the room was not as advertised on the website (more modern, without this traditionall touch) and both smell heavily detergent which make it quite unpleasant. The batchroom ceiling is open to the hallway which make is a bit noisy when guests arrive late

Saied and his family and friend really went out of their way to make our stay in Aswan easier! The place is very peaceful with great view on the lake!

The view from our room was fantastic! You can see the Nile river with beautiful sunset. With this view, there is absolutely no need to stay in other expensive accommodations! Mr Wanas is a super nice person, he offered very nice price for boat to Philae temple and helped us deal with taxi driver (and found us a taxi driver with fair charge). At last he even bought us some local dessert which was super delicious!

Amazing experience staying one night in Wanas Kato. After our cruise arriving to Aswan we decided to stay one more night and it was a fantastic decision, staff is friendly, rooms as expected and comfortable and the BEST VIEW of the sunset from all Aswan. They also offered us a delicious dinner. Run be a Nubian family who all they want to make your stay enjoyable. I would recommend this place to everyone visiting Aswan.

The shower didn't have any shower curtain so the bathroom floor got very slippery with splashes. Due to the closeness to the motorboats, the air sometimes smelled of engine oil.

It is located right by the port where the motorboat to Philae Temple are stationed. The hotel served us a nice Egyptian lunch and dinner quickly when we asked, arranged for our airport transport punctually, even served us hot coffee and gave us a breakfast box when we checked out at 3am. Only one person there spoke English, and with the rest of the staff we communicated with a translation app.

In a magnificent view overlooking the ships near the old dam, Wanas Guesthouse was entirely pleasurable. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, I can only recommend this place.
