Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

BrazilWe would love to stay more days but we were short of time, we did a 2 days stop over from a flight from Asia to Brazil. Ethiopia is a nice country to visit, an experience!
This is a great hotel, very central in Addis Adaba. The room is big, also the bed is large, we liked it very much! Breakfast is good, there is local food, juices, bread, strong coffee! The manager is very kind and helpfull.

AustraliaThe hotel needs more ongoing maintenance. The water was not hot for half of the stay and some of the rooms had issues with leaks, the mini fridge, etc. They were quick to send the maintenance staff but they should be doing more frequent advance checks to make sure all works.
The staff were wonderful, very responsive and quick to support when asked. Their communication was very good and airport pick up was well organized. If you are looking for a good deal with helpful staff, this is a good optio n. If you are looking for a place with everything updated, maybe not.

SwitzerlandI had a hard time looking for small cozy boutique hotels, and did not understand the TIME OUT classification of this hotel as one. I have since understood that such boutique hotels which, in my mind are smallish and warm, intimate with a special theme cannot be found in ADD.
It was smallish compared to the other way too big hotels available in ADD. The location was convenient as it was a nice walk down to the main church in the city, next to amenities like ethio telecom, and cosy cafes. The staff went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable, and this, together with the copious breakfast made my 2-night stay enjoyable.
