Breakfast is not up to the mark. there are no options for the halal food and fresh meal. drinks and jugs used to be empty, same goes with salad and European breakfast option.

the staff professionalism, the behaviour of the team. especially the working staff who are engaged in cleaning the rooms. all these people were fantastic and very much cooperative.

There was construction ongoing on the backside and there was heavy noise 24 hours all round the day and night. It was extremely difficult to sleep during night with all that noise. Closing the balcony door doesn't help, and it makes the room very warm and suffocated. I asked the hotel night staff to get me a fan. I was able to get it during the last 2 nights with lot of struggle. Of course it's not the fault of the hotel if a construction work is ongoing. But the hotel should arrange a fan or some other alternatives to let the guest sleep in peace. Also there was problem with the water in the restroom. Last two days there was no water, and I could not shower or do anything in the restroom. Hope this will be improved.

Nice room with view. Staff was helpful and friendly, but they have limited capacity. They try to help whatever they can. Nice breakfast on the top floor with good view.

Lots of construction around the neighbourhood- went on all night on one of the nights.

Great central location - made exploring Addis very easy and it wasn’t too far from the airport either I easily walked to most sites I could. Breakfast was included as well which is always a plus

I didn't like the moods at the reception, first time interaction with receptionists was not impressive. There's need to improve on how clients are directed to their rooms because not everybody is a regular traveler.

The room was tidy, quiet and the place to relax. Breakfast was exceptional. All diets available for all categories including vegetarians. I had no experience with the bar because I don't drink.

Once my shower area water outlet was closed due to unknown reason but room service opened that after complain within no time. Some times heard building construction noises from back side of the hotel.

It was a wonderful stay. After long meetings at my work feel really relax and comfortable in my room. Warm water in washroom and comfortable bed, pillow and blanket took my all tiredness away. Front desk staff was quite helpful and professional specially staff member Eden. Coffee and snacks at yakuta hall coffee shop made me in love with coffee special thanks to staff Meaza who really knows what customer needs at that time wonderful customer service. Break fast at top floor at 360 lounge was always fresh higenic and tasty. Break fast head boy serves in a great ways thank bro. Love custom made egg of choice. Room service and cleaning staff was very hard working and honest. and last but not least free shuttle service from and to airport means alot to me. Thanks to wonderful shuttle driver Zalalam who give me review of city and help me in knowing city, hotel and different routes etc.

Wifi on the upper floors is not great and the drains in my bathroom made for an unpleasant smell. I also think the hotel could be more proactive in advertising its services to guests. Eg....what time is the restaurant open and what does it serve? This info is missing from within rooms.

The staff are great. The hotel is very clean, airport shuttle much appreciated, and there is a great coffee bar and rooftop lounge bar (also serves great food). My room was comfy.

The rooms lack attention to cleaning details. We had to have them come clean the room again especially the floors. Hot water is limited. Hot but when I needed it for my shower it was barely warm. They charge for the first bottles of water. Lots of construction going on at the moment on that street including across the street. And, across the street from the hotel is a small shanty village with dogs barking. No Aircon or fan to circulate the air.

The rooftop restaurant and bar was a huge plus, especially since breakfast is on the roof. The rooms are nicely setup with balconies. Beds are comfy enough and the staff is really helpful and attentive. Very hot water when you can get it during your shower. Bonus is the luggage storage that truly helped us with our Ethiopian travels!

I ordered Cheeseburger it was cold and expensive.. I was too tired to complain specialy after i got it an hour later from the time i ordered .

Staff from the Entrance.. Front desk ... to the restaurant..room service and cafeteria were very friendly and ready to help. The location and atmosphere was pleasant. Airport shuttle was on point.

The restaurant customer service experience is my biggest area of improvement and was were I was most unhappy whsilt staying at Monarch. For such a hotel with international and business clientale there is not excuse. Whilst Yousef and MB were helpful and the front of desk team - excellent, overall I do think the restaurant service team need a retrain on good customer service. For example, on two occasions I requested to sign for my bill and the same female server gave me a cash invoice and on the first occasion she told me it wasn't possible. On the second occasion, she said if I wasn't able to pay by cash then it won't be possible. At times, you have to call someone over to get the menu after being sitted for over 20mins, not good. I found that when some of the team bring you over your food they are quick to leave your table and don't come to check how your meal is. Aside from that, rooms are comfortable but could do with a refresh. Complimentary water and free airport shuttle is good.

Location and view of Addis was beautiful and we'll worth it. Breakfast was good but maybe some more meat options besides eggs would be good. Yousef and MB (cocktail mixer) were great and made my stay enjoyable. The food at 360 restaurant is okay, I highly recommend the Nile Perch and the green salad.
