Wifi is not that good but it s quite normal concidering the location.

It was my sencond time at the Lodge. The owner is very helpfull and taking care of our satisfaction. The staff of the restaurant is professional and very friendly. The lodges have a very nice view. There is also a view point open bar, very lovely for a sunset with a beer. The qulaity of the matress were perfect. The safety is also guarentee.

The hotel staff gave us a warm welcome on arrival and were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We had a large room with a balcony and a good bathroom. The food was freshly cooked and tasty. It’s a short walk to one of the town squares. It has a great view out over the countryside.

Wifi could not reach my room though I liked it that way as a good escape from unwanted communication and social media.

Location is convenient quite close to the famous churches. I went to the nearby churches by tuktuk though i think you can walk in 15-20 mins. The hotel surrounding is very beautiful with majestic mountains in sight.

Sora Lodge Lalibela is a great place to chill out in the historic town of Lalibela. The staff were friendly. The view from the Sun Set Bar was amazing.

great location and very friendly staff who even found a doctor in the middle of one night when it became necessary. The view from the rooms could not be better and the food in the restaurant was also superb. we stayed for a whole week and did not get tired of it. In addition to the churches, there are some.very nice hiking trails for which a guide is recommended though.

There was limited wifi - but that wasn't necessarily the hotels fault. The rooms are very simple - no aircon, tv, phone, fridge etc. And a lot of stairs, but the rooms are clean and the staff are nice.

Nice lodge in a beautiful garden with spectacular views. It’s located in a quite neighbourhood of Lalibela and has a great outdoor bar with sunset views. Rooms in the Tukul-style huts have good bathrooms, comfortable beds and nice private sitting areas. They also arrange transport and excellent guides for the churches.

In the bar, there are all sorts of international drinks, but there is no Ethiopian honey wine. The staff was so friendly, they said they would bring for us in the next day, but we were only staying a weekend. The breakfast did not have much variety.

The sunset bar was amazing, the staff was super friendly! The view from the bedroom was fantastic.

I spent a weekend with my partner and a group of friends in Lalibela. We really enjoyed our stay at Sora Lodge and couldn’t recommend it enough. All of the staff were kind and helpful—Habte, the owner, came by to check in with all of the guests at the lodge to ensure we were having a good time. The breakfast was quite good, as were the meals and drinks at the restaurant and sunset bar, and the lodge was able to accommodate someone in our group with special dietary needs. We liked that there were many options for rooms; we stayed in one of the tukul rooms and found it to be quiet, comfortable and very clean. More than anything, we absolutely loved the view from the lodge (including all of our rooms) and the design of all parts of the property. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place, and you can see that a lot of care and attention to detail was put into everything. We were not ready to leave!
