How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Our 6 year old son was meant to sleep on the couch/sofa bed in the living room however it didn't have good blinds in the living so he ended up staying in with us, but this was too much of a problem as the bed in the master could comfortably fit 3 of us.
The location is fantastic, a short walk from the central train station. The apartment was bigger than we expected - with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, decent blinds to block out the light and a washing machine. We'd certainly stay here again if we are visiting Helsinki

Staff at 2nd homes office where we got our keys wasn't very welcoming. Dining area ceiling light bulbs were out. Informed the staff right after and sent message via booking but no one came to check or replaced the dead bulbs hence for 3 days we had to use the nearest lamp stand frm the living room.
Great location in city center next to Kamppi and next to Torni hotel where you can have a nice drink at the roof top. Fully equipped kitchen with spacious dining and living room area.

the check in starts at 16 and there was a long line of people waiting. check in is in A different location. had to make copies of documents and sign contract etc. A LOT of hassel to check in. we had some parking problems, our parking spot had been reserved to others but we found A solution. only 2 Coffee cups and a LOT of glasses - drank our morning coffee from a wine Glass. the bathroom in a bit small.
Great location, much more room than seems in the pictures, good shower.

Lots of things need improvement, read above. The price/quality ratio is just terrible.
Terrible check-in service, told us we could pick the keys earlier (note that it´s a 5min walk from the apartment), keys were not ready even after the expected check-in time. Foreign credit cards were not working, staff zero supportive. No toilet paper available, destroyed chairs that were promised to change "on monday" but nobody showed up. Poor supplies: there are maybe 20 wine glasses but only 2 tea cups (??). The sofa bed is just a sofa with sheets put on top. Good location if you do not have a car, apartment itself is spacious and comfy, but needs renovations.

I could not get the keys when arrived (Sunday evening) and had to take a hotel room for one night.

The apartment had a stale smell that you get from dust and old smoke. So either the sofa was just too old and had absorbed a lot of cigarette smoke over the years or it was something else going on there. There were a few odd things like one eve type thing that made a noise but we couldn’t figure out what it was for, we had 2 tv’s stacked one behind the other which was bizarre, and some of the surfaces were dusty. Not terrible tho. It just happened that the flushing button broke in the middle of the night in the bathroom, so the water was running the entire night very loudly. I hope that gets fixed.
The location was bang in the middle of everything and despite being on the corner of the busy street, bedroom faced the courtyard and was very quiet. It was a big place for a 1br

Terribly complicated to get the keys. Way too many emails, most of which had no meaningful content. The keys couldn't be accessed with the instructions given. The phone number given was fake, only an answering machine. Prolonging the stay by one day was something we tried, but was way too complicated. Frustrating.
Cool location. Central to the city. Easy access to transport.

The apartment was not clean enough and the sofà cama was full of stings (so dirty). The elevator of the building was very noisy. It was saïd It had parking but It was not for free (15€/day) and we couldn't park the car as the 2 spots were busy during our stay. We had to collect t'he keys of t'he apartment in a diferent adress (agency adress)
It is in the city center, a very goog location to visit Helsinki.
