If mobility issues, need to mention when booking, so you get a room with easy access. Our room was accessible by outside stairs (no elevator), however, this was just fine for us..

The room was spacy, high quality furnishings. Separate toilet from shower was convenient, very clean. The surroundings are lovely, great atmosphere. Dinner was very good.

Nice location and environment, comfortable room. Restaurant had very tasty drink and dinner options, breakfast buffet while relatively small selection was of excellent quality. Very friendly staff!

First, we were placed in a very hot room without a possibility to open the windows. After two rounds of complaints, we were moved into a room with a window that could be opened. No parking place for bikes.

Interestingly renovated rooms in old industrial buildings. The village is beautiful.

11 o'clock check out (although staff was flexible and we could get 30 minute extension). Washing dishes is not included in the room. Not a big deal but good to know.

Beds were comfortable. Rooms were more spacious than what is visible on the site. Silence - we slept very well.

Note that the only restaurant (any place to get food) closes early. Check the times. There is no 24h/7 lobby. After closing, the nearest location to get something to eat is some 5 km away. Breakfast was OK, but not as good as expected. Limited selection and even that was partially running out if you came 30 m. before they close the breakfast service.

Room was located in a separate building from where the main lobby was. Take the best room they have, if you want silence and good privacy. Room had its own ventilation system, but no real air condition to cool down. In our case, this was not a problem due to the time of the year. Great, illuminated walking routes around the river bank. Everything was clean and service was friendly.

Airflow in the room could have been a bit better - we opened the window but it was a bit noisy outside so had to close it.

Comfortable and stylish room and restaurant in old industrial setting and atmosphere, the history was brought up with photo displays real nice :) Bed was comfy and A/C was working fine. Excellent service also! We stayed for two nights and this was a great base for visiting Tammisaari, Hanko and Fiskars.

If one doesn't have a car, it might be difficult to get around as most of the sights around Billnäs aren't at walking distance. The walls were also a bit thin, as we could hear our neighbors enjoy what was apparently a rare weekend away. Their private time wasn't kept very private :)

Beautiful place, kind staff. Excellent breakfast. Rooms were gorgeous, lighting was well done, bed was comfy, and the air also didn't get "stuffy" in the room, so some kind of air ventilation was great. We liked that there was information about the history, and pictures and artifacts around the ironworks. Also the atmosphere was well preserved.

Our room could have been a little cooler. One of the waitresses didn't speak or understand Finnish very well but also didn't ask us to use any other language. Maybe good to let the customers know what languages one can serve in.

Easy access using public transport (train to Karjaa). The village is still partly under construction but the atmosphere is nice and the accommocation recently restored. The restaurant was nice and food was good.

We spent a mini break earlier this autumn at Billnäs. By the way, only one hour from Helsinki by train - feels like you are abroad! I have not been there for several years and the place has been transformed into serious destination for such breaks. The facilities are excellent - food is also superb. There is a nice atmosphere surrounding the whole area - lovely walks by the river. In addition to private visits, I will choose this for the next staff retreat.

Kind and helpful staff but a little bit too busy to serve all the customers. Had to wait a bit longer for breakfast than what we were told.

The reception/restaurant area. The plastic chairs, specially red ones, did not match with the spirit of the building. We felt very disappointed when entering the property. Also, the music(too loud) was not on the line with the historical environment.

- The surroundings were beautiful but a bit less nice than expected - During reservation we were given an option that we can rent bikes and cycle to nearby village Fiskars, however on the spot it turned out that the hotel does not rent bikes, but we have to call a company that may then bring them (within 20min to 1 hour wait). We called the number given to us three times, nobody answered, so we did not get the bikes (ended up going by car which was okay but less nice). The hotel could have been clearer during the booking that they do not themselves rent out bikes - no sauna for guests (you have to make a private booking, which is expensive) - to my taste a bit overpriced

The room had a smell of sewer, was a bit chilly and the small tv in the room didn't have sound. Also one of the lamps didn't work and there was a constant noise of some kind of electric appliance. No extras such as coffee or tea or ironing equipment in the room.

Beautiful and tastefully renovated rooms with personality and lots of history. Interesting and special surroundings, although in the winter season not so much to see or do. Sure it's amazing in summer time. Restaurant with excellent food and friendly service. Breakfast was quite basic.

Main course size could have been bigger. Did not want to have starters. While booking double room, with common understanding that there would be also double bed… there was actually twin beds. Easy way for hotel to handle these situations, would be to purchase couple extra mattress toppers for double bed purposes. Minor things but which did not go with the room decor was the plastic bin inside the room.

Main course in the restaurant was excellent. Area looked really nice. Staff was helpfull and pleasant. Room was unique and nicely decorated.

The room was extremely hot and it was difficult to sleep. Outside spotlight was directed straight towards the windows and lit the room during the night.

The surroundings were excellent and beautiful! Great idea to do a map and write about the history of the area.
