Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Moroccoit is super noisy, my room was next to the common bathroom or shower and I could hear water through the wall. You hear people walking and talking through the hallway as if the foor was open and they are walking in the room.. I had a very bad night with very little sleep as I kept waling up because of people.

United KingdomThis was one of the cheaper options in Turku so I expected the value and standard to be lower. However it still felt expensive in comparison to what you could get for this price in other European cities. It was clean but there were little things that were lacking. The door didn't feel very secure which wasn't nice as I was in the room nearest reception, the walls are not soundproof. The blinds didn't go all the way down the window and the curtain was transparent, neither of these features are helpful when it never quite gets dark at this time of year. There was only one flimsy pillow and one cardboard like towel. There was no mirror. It was fine and it was the cheapest option, but don't expect any sort of luxury or comfort.
Good location, near to the station. I chose here because I was booking last minute and it was one of the cheaper options.

FinlandThe beds looked dirty, and there were possible traces of a (former?) bed bug infestation. It seems I might have dodged catching them myself though my ankles were itchy the next week. The bathroom was small and you can’t have a shower without watering the toilet seat too.
The room was available on a very short notice. I got three beds to choose from. The street side was less noisy than the reviews warn you about.

I booked the place last minute on arrival to Turku because my employer mocked up my original hotel booking and I had no where to stay that night. I was stuck. So the fact I was able to get a room on such short notice was great.

FinlandLack of staff (we saw one staff member during our stay and had to call someone else to get in contact with him), our room was visibly dirty and our beds and walls were damaged. Our bathroom had no lock and the handle was not properly installed. Our bathroom had 1/2 lightbulbs installed (other one was in the sink) and it didnt work until the receptionist was found and managed to change it. Bathroom plumbing made a loud screeching noise seemingly whenever anyone in the building used their faucet and the walls failed to supress any sounds making it hard to sleep.

UruguayThe person working at the reception didn't have access to the booking system, so when showed him my ID and the email from booking.com he didn't know what room I was supposed to have. He took pictures of the email and sent it to his boss. Eventually I was given the key to my room. When I came back to the hotel later that night, I was told I couldn't spend the night there anymore because I had supposidely cancelled my stay. After a long argument, trying to explain to the guy at the reception that I didn't cancel anything, he finally came to reason and I was able to enter my room. By far my worst experience in a hotel.

FinlandOur room smelled REALLY BAD, someone had been smoking there. Still they gave the room to clients. I tried to find someone to tell about it but I couldn't see anyone and my kid was tired. I complained afterwards but just got an answer that it is not allowed to smoke in the hotel. Well yeah, someone had done so, allowed or not. That room should not have been given to a client in the first place.

FinlandHotel is very noisy because of the thin walls. We could hear the doorbell, every step on the hallway and doors closing and even talk/laugh from the other room during all night. All rooms are on the same corridore so we could hear basicly every quest entering. Didnt get much to sleep. Room was old, pillows and bed uncomfortable and room could be cleaner also. Really not worth for the money.
Staff was present 247 and location is good.
