How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It was difficult to find the keys and then which door to enter. I found the House itself easily. Very thin and poor bed linen and a small thin towel

When you need to hide the key box to make it look like a bicycle chain, I'm wondering if they are operating inside the rules.
Not a lot to say, I was comfortable for the 7 hours I was there. It was shared with two others. It was clean. Very easy to get to from the airport.

I should have read a description a bit better and realise this would be a room in airb&b style of apartments. Luckily I had food with me as well as shower necessities, otherwise it would have been very different experience.
Bed was comfy. Premises were clean. All necessary equipment was there. Close to the airport and easy to get for early flights as nearby bus operates 24h. Owner provided all necessary details via WhatsApp, well, except for actual apartment block location via maps app.

Because it is like a shared apartment, you are up to listening to the other guests. In my case someone de used to take a shower in the middle of the night and it was suuuuper noisy. But besides that the experience was nice!!!
It was soooo incredible easy to reach this place from the airport. The place was also super clean and comfortable. Also the instructions I got per WhatsApp before arrival was awesome!!!!

Only bad thing was the bathroom mat was soaking wet upon arrival, but minor issue.
This place is really convenient and close to the airport and easy to get there by public transport. I did only stay there for the night, the place was clean and the neighbourhood is quiet. I would definetly recommed to stay there.

It's not a hotel/hostel, it's a room in a three bedroom apartment with shared wc/shower/sauna/big living room with the kitchen. Very clean, comfortable bed, 5-10 min by bus from airport. Self check-in any time with the detailed instructions sent in the last moment.

It’s a shared apartment and is not advertised as such so it’s very misleading. You can’t lock your bedroom from outside.

the rooms can’t be closed outside, so anyone can enter you room while you are away. room C doesn’t have a lock at all, so other people just opened my room without knocking so it’s not ok at all

when you make a booking, it is not explained to you that there are 2 more families coming to the apartment... it would be preferable to specify when someone makes the booking because no one guarantees your safety

'Aivan Helmi' as the Finns would say. Landed at 23.00 started looking on bookings.com Airport hotels expensive. Found this place for €53. Booked and paid for it not knowing I could check-in so late. Took a taxi and was outside in minutes. Called a number at 01.00 and the person answered and was extremely helpful. Got the key and was resting in minutes. Super clean, perfect place. All mod cons there. Even some chicken noodles in the cupboard if you were hungry. Definitely use this place again. Life saver! Can't praise this place enough. Bigger than most hotel rooms I've stayed at. It said 20 min to the train station but I did it in 15min to the platform. €4.90 A,B,C ticket straight to the centre of Helsinki. Doesn't get any better!

All the furniture is cheapest stuff from Ikea. Bed sheets, coverings are synthetic cheapest stuff which is really uncomfortable to sleep in. It just needs small change (sheets, coverings, pillows) to something more nice for body than that stuff which makes you sweat and it would be wonderful place to spend a night near HEL airport.
The apartment is nice, new and quite clean. Would be great place if small investment added.
