How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bedroom felt a little clinical (but suited us very well)
Location. We flew into Helsinki airport, and were travelling North next day. Late arrival, 2am or so. They were expecting us and no issues. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast.

Extra pillows would have been appreciated (now there were only two pillows available for two persons). Also mini-fridge would have been nice. In general, the price level was very high in the area (especially restaurants)

We stayed for 4 nights and the room was not cleaned and the towels were not changed, although we had to use them for the spa too. There is no fridge in the room. The spa and cafe close at 17 on Sunday. Dinner is the same as lunch but costs 2 euros more.
Neat hotel with large rooms and many shelves. Restaurants have a selection of heathy tasty meals. Good hiking routs. Spa center has a pool, a sauna, three different spa pools - totally worth 12 euro. There is a student massage at reduced price available. I would love to come back here. Drying cabinet in the bathroom is a plus.

Pool only opened after 1am and extra cost of 12€ for adult and 6€ for children. This was not clearly stated in the booking. The spacious breakfast was not offered on Mondays and we paid the same price for a very basic breakfast. No cleaning of the room, at least not Mondays. Reception unfriendly.

Reception was not staffed on a Wednesday evening even though prior message from the hotel stated that reception will be open. Security staff on site tried their best to assist arriving customers, but was struggling a bit as it is not part of their normal task. Also the only information at the counter was in Finnish.
Clean rooms and good breakfast offering incl. healthy options with nice views on the surrounding green areas. Also, plenty of free parking spaces. Plenty of choices for activities and snacks and drinks.

A fridge would be a huge plus!
This was our second stay at Fennada. The location is great to do some activities. The room has everything you need to ensure a comfortable stay.

Really poor level of information available online about the hotel and services, also onsite info not available. Understaffed on weekends. Mess with the breakfast, one day in one place, other day in other place. And level of breakfast dependent on which restaurant it is.

Unfortunately, and to our surprise, the room wasn't supplied with separate shampoo or conditioner. Also some surfaces and the floor had noticeable dust on them.
Furniture looked brand new, good facilities and a great breakfast service! Plenty of parking right next to the hotel and great sports activities close by. The beds and beddings were very comfortable and the room was quiet.

There is no longer fridge available in the room which is very inconvenient for sport people and athletes.

Breakfast was good, but they serve only croissants and fruits. Maybe some bread and/or joughurt would be a nice add. You can have more healty breakfast at the near by restaurant but this little addition would make breakfast at the hotel better.
Hotel is nice and at the center of Vierumäki. Standard rooms is big and nicely decorated. Clean room and reception area. Friendly staff. Air conditioner is a huge plus.
