The breakfast was amazing and with plenty of choices both savoury and sweet. The staff were very nice, friendly and it was easy to communicate in english. The firepit at the river was a lovely spot to wait for the northern lights

The room was not big, but it had everything we needed and a window to the snowy back yard, frozen lake & forest.

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. The location out of town provided a quiet nature surrounding, but required transportation into town and back. I recommend that you book all activities from the hotel, which will save you lots of travel. The hotel feels very homey and intimate. The staff are very warm and helpful, and feel almost like family. Buffet breakfast was varied, though it was the same every day. I recommend the Metsahirvas especially for couples looking for a quiet homey place

A great functional hotel - just out of the city so you have some space around you. The rooms were really clean and super comfortable beds. The family rooms are a great size and it’s lovely to have a Kitchenette. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved that it was out of the city and that Pure Lapland run their excursions from there. We also really enjoyed the sauna and ice dip activity. When we had to leave early the next day they prepared an amazing breakfast for us to take away without us even asking! A lovely touch.

Room is little when you stay a few days, not easy to manage with luggages. Pity the sauna time was at diner time, not easy to use it. Pity they don't use the fire place in the lobby, it would be nice to have a fire when having a drink.

Very nice location, close to Rovaniemi, outside the city. Ideal to stay with children. Fire in the hall and closeness to the River with views and nature was perfect for our stay. You can make fire at a wooden refuge 100m from the hotel close to the river. Kids enjoyed the Skimobile ride! Very recommendable. Sauna available for guests (kids allowed) is a must do. Thank you Mikko for your kind hospitality. We will be back!

A bit further from Rovaniemi than we expected

Great service and very friendly hosts, who were always very keen to help with our questions and specific asks including transport. Fantastic accommodation -lots of space in a spacious, modern and clean apartment by the lake. Unbeatable value for money. Nice buffet breakfast, with a broad variety of local specialties which gave us a flavor of the local specials.

One of the best vacations 🤍 All the staff is very friendly and hospitable. The food is definitely a highlight with good and fresh variety for every day. Being also so close to the river (and far enough from the city) means that there’s a good chance to see the northern lights just by walking around the area. The organised tours were great, especially with the Huskys and the Finnish sauna experience with Ice bathing. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed the time a lot.

We pretty much liked everything, if we have to pick something maybe the possibility to have different kinds of bed pillows and the lack of activities in the evening if you stayed in the hotel

Great location. Only 20mins drive to centre of Rovaniemi. Clean and modern facilities. Staff were amazing! Can book tours and transport with reception. Public bus is also available every hour. Food was great.

Beautiful location and friendly staff to welcome us on site. Very comfortable room and great to get pre booked arranged tours from the hotel directly. You do need a rental car when staying as 20 mins from city.

We arrived late, so no reception, could enter only due to a phone call to a very friendly staff at 1AM (sorry, messaging doesn't work during flight).

It feels so Finnish, the living room was equipped with furniture of older design, but comfortable and gave this feeling of being on a holiday in a cabin. Nice view of the lake, simple to reach from the airport via rented car.
