I loved the way it was refurbished. Stylish and comfortable, but original features used to great effect. Close to harbour, but tram stop immediately outside gave easy access to other areas.

Though the room was spatious, the entrance was low. If you're over 1.80, mind your head! If you're over 6 feet, don't worry about it!

Lovely hotel and an absolutely great breakfast buffet. They had more than I could choose from! They turned a former prison in to a luxurious hotel, you can see that in the details.

Amazing conversion from prison to hotel. The rooms are nice and quiet Eating breakfast down in the basement are a unique experience The hotel are in walking distance from center of Helsinki and even in the cold weather it is a nice trip

Although the room and bed size added to the feeling of being in a prison cell, I would book a bigger room next time. It was a bit cramped with 2 people and a dog :)

We got treats, a little towel and doggy bags as a present for our furry friend :) It made us and our dog feel really welcome. We booked this hotel because it was close to the ferry to Estonia and that was really a 2 min drive! I loved how they kept the original building purpose of a prison visible in the interior.

I love everything about this hotel. The location is excellent. It has a unique history and decor. The breakfast is wonderful. The concierge is very pleasant and available to assist . I have been several times and look forward to returning.

There wasn't anything major to call out

We stayed here 3 nights and found the hotel a perfect base for exploring Helsinki. It's a unique building, having been a prison in the past, & they've preserved some of the history but also made it very modern & comfortable. Room was very comfy & clean, front desk staff was so welcoming, and breakfast spread was great. We were easily able to walk into hte main tourist areas from there, or get a taxi/Uber if going further afield. Highly recommend!

Loved the quirkiness of the hotel being an old prison. The rooms and the hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

A unique stay in a stylishly converted prison. very memorable. Great location in a lovely area of Helsinki, close to the Tallinn ferry terminal and the city. Excellent breakfasts too.

Would've been nice to have more gym options ands rooms with a view.

Fun concept for a hotel with some history to explore onsite. Breakfast and restaurant lunch and dinner options are tasty. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, though as a former prison, there are only ground and first level or sublevel floors. Great location for taking the tram or walking to Sky Wheel, market and restaurants.

Almost nothing, perhaps the breakfast too formatted (but it is my mistake, I'm probably fed up with buffet proposals). Good but maybe a lack of originality The fact that I succeed in escaping

The welcome (history of the place kindness and jokes). Same thing when leaving. very good staff The rehabilitation of the spot. original and successful Very quiet. For once...a very pleasant time to be in jail. Did I mentionned that the staff was excellent ?

Our room was a bit bright at night with lights coming from outside. Not a huge issue but bring a sleep mask if this is a potential problem for you.

Loved the peaceful location that's a short walk into the center (or take the tram which stops right in front of the hotel). The history is very interesting and the staff very friendly and helpful as well as informative. The breakfast was amazing! Love the decor of the hotel and the super comfortable beds. We hope to return one day!
