Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI felt the place could have been a little cleaner. There were stains on the sofa and it was dusty around the edges of the bathroom. Because we had to make our own beds up I noticed stains on the beds too. There was also a screwed up duvet stuffed into one of the wardrobes, I didn't want to pull it out in fear of what was on it! It was top clean but could have done with a good fettle. There were a few little niggles which didn't have a huge effect on our enjoyment but niggles nevertheless.... The main light in the bedroom, and living room didn't work, the large head on the shower didn't work properly, and the drains did smell whilst you had a shower. I wasn't overly impressed we had to pay €20 each for bed linen too as I feel what we paid initially was above average. The beds weren't comfy... We actually joked and called them prison beds.... But then, when you go away not many beds are comfy are they? When we arrived (check-in was 5pm) I hadn't received any instructions on how to access the accommodation, so sent a message via booking.com to which I didn't receive a response and actually ended up phoning but was then sent instructions. I did start to panic, thinking we would have to find somewhere else for the night! There was a cabinet under the building where you park your car, I assume to store skiis/snowboards etc. We would have used this, but the key had been broken. Honestly, it sounds like I'm moaning alot, but really they were just little niggles. Would I stop here again? Yes, if I could get it for a good price. I wouldn't want to pay what I paid for it this time.
We loved the location. Literally a 3 minute walk to where all the action is, and a short walk through the woods at the back to take you straight to kids land. We loved that we were so close to everything, yet it seemed tucked out of the way. Amenities were good, a washing machine, drying cabinet, and dishwasher. There was a hairdryer but I didn't use this, I took my own. Plenty of pots and pans to create some meals, although lacking actual cupboard space to store food! They did let us have a late check out which I'm so grateful for. Check out was 11am, and we left at 2pm. Car parking space was available too which was brilliant!

FinlandThough this apartment has some disadvantages as well. Some of the kitchen equipment is old. Frying pans are too old and unsafe to use. Dishwasher requires enabling water supply every time you turn it on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Washing machine is moving when spinning, so you’ll have to hold it with your hands, otherwise it can break something. The front door lock is too complicated, it has an electronic chip, that works once in 3-5 attempts only. We had problems with check in, as the host forgot about our arrival and did not send check in information. We had to call the maintenance company and try to explain our problem and who we are, since they run hundreds of apartments. The host never replies via Booking.com, so if you have problems do not expect it to be resolved quickly.
The location is great, it is in a quiet area but very close to the slopes and restaurants. The nearest restaurant is just 3 minutes walk. There is a cross country ski route that runs next to the house. One private parking place is available near the entrance, and it is equipped with the ski locker. There is a big free parking area very near to the house also. There is a drying cabinet that is very useful if you ski. The shower was good.

FinlandThe dishwasher stopped working due to some smart valve. Instead of a manual knob to turn like every other sink I’ve seen in Finland, this place had a fancy battery one which decided to stop working. 1. Found out about the extra €80 for bed linen after I had made the non-refundable booking. 2. Fancy key which needed instructions to work, which were not included. 3. Not as clean as I would expect in Finland: Shower smelled, beds were not clean. 4. Towels lacking in number. 5. Beds were not comfortable, the pillows not comfortable. 6. The dishwasher was out of operation for a few days. Which meant hand-washing, which meant I needed to buy hand washing equipment including extra hand drying towels. 7. Hanging around waiting for people to come to solve apartment problems is not a nice holiday activity, especially when there are only a few hours of daylight. 8. Light bulb didn’t work in the living room. 9. Lamp plug in the master bedroom broken. 10. There was a washing machine, but no clothes rack to dry items, only the drying cupboard which was always full of the wet ski clothes. 11. Sauna was large, but badly designed- feet don’t get hot unless you put the feet up on the wall. 12. Sauna did not come with enough disposable laudeliina (the towels that you should use in a sauna to sit on). We suspect that the 6 or so sheets there were actually left by the previous occupants. 13. Toilet rolls are not included. We suspect the ones there when we arrived were from the previous occupants. 14. We were told to return the keys to a non-existent location. I had a much longer review but the booking.com portal won't accept so many characters...
I’ve been to Levi two times before, but this time I thought to take an apartment, mainly because a dog would be accompanying me, and two 16 year old relatives whom wanted to try skiing. We needed to do this in January due to school holidays in Scotland. There were 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a large dog. The good things: the location was fairly central, but no so central that it was noisy. The apartment was fairly large so the 4 of us plus dog did not cramp the living areas. Unexpectedly it had two toilets. Really, the letting agency should include a floor plan to the photographs, as this would attract more people. 1. Location: good for Levi village, good for the dog walking. 2. Two toilets. 3. Sauna was large. 4. Real attempts were made to fix problems. This is important; I don’t expect perfection, but I expect someone to care when I complain. 5. There was a washing machine. 6. WiFi was fast and reliable - and the password and other details available right at the door.
