We made the mistake of thinking the cabin was free standing when in fact all of them are either semi detached or terraced as far as we could see.

We stayed in a cabin here. They are also all owned by individual owners so the exact furnishing and presentation can vary. Ours had good furniture and furnishings and was very clean and tidy inside. It had excellent air con for summer as well as the fireplace for winter plus the private sauna and a large outdoor balcony which was great for meals or drinks and relaxing. Bathroom was a bit old but functional. Kitchen was quite modern and new. The resort is lakeside so there are plenty of places to swim with local walks and bike rides so you don’t need to use your car all the time to do things. Staff were super helpful. It was quiet but we weren’t near the main road and our cabin had its’ own internet connection which was great. A great place to stay. Recommended.

The location was very good but the weather could have been somewhat better throughout -- but not your fault.

The cabins were very nice, the distance to the lake short (although we could have been closer), the staff was friendly and available to fix any problems.

The only minor negative issue was with the space for a double bed. You can only access the double bed from one side, if you push the bed against the wall and use a stool for a night stand, (for phone, glasses, etc.) There were no bedside tables there. For flexible, younger people this would not be a problem, to get out of the bed without climbing over the another sleeper. Perhaps a little shelf in the headboard would solve this problem.

The cottage and its location were better than expected. There was a private jetty to this cottage, which was accessible, although the bank to the shoreline was a bit steep. (Ask for a lakeside cottage when booking!). The lake is clean and one of the best swims in Finland! Sauna and the shower room were very fresh, as was the whole cottage. Well equipped kitchenette with a fridge and a small freezer compartment. Could have stayed longer!

Air pump cooling system was a little noisy. Was unable to switch it off. Seemed the remote off button did not turn the device off.

Tidy, modern, maintained well with plenty of recreational things to do and good restaurant/bar. Four EV charging points. Good sauna. Large area to walk or cycle. Good place for kids. Effective air conditioning. Short distance from the Vanha Punkaharju Hotel.

Very much a destination for Finns with their own transport. Harder to navigate when reliant on public transport, although the train is close it’s just infrequent. Not the accom’s issue but you can’t buy train tickets at the station or on the train. Need to buy online, which isn’t always possible with an overseas Credit Card.

Generally it is good with the necessary facilities. Beautiful lake view and very close to the lake as well. Great to enjoy sauna and swim at the lake.

Nothing much to say. Really.

We were made very welcome and the chalet conformed to the description. No bad surprises. The chalet was spacious, heated before our arrival and the fireplace allowed us to spend good times inside even though it was -25 outside. The sauna in the chalet was a real plus too. Very close to the lake, the snowshoe or Nordic ski trails, it is a perfect location which gives the feeling of being in the heart of nature while being in the immediate vicinity of a clear traffic route, which is not negligible in extreme cold. I think we will come back if the opportunity arises.

Outside furniture on the porch were very dirty,needed a good clean before able to use them. Should mention that the shop on the site that was advertised to be well enough equipped for basics ,had 2 loafs of bread , no fruit or veg at all and it was very pricey. People who arrive by train/dont have a car to use need to be prepared to bring everything with them for the whole length of their stay.

It was as promised, all the basics for a break, clean enough and good air con.
