How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The breakfast, while nice, was quite expensive for what you got.
Located nicely near shops and services, symphatetic little hotel with very modern interior.

The rooms are a bit small, no kitchen sink, but for quick stays this does not bother too much.
It was our 3rd stay at Oma Hotelli, with dogs. Once again we enjoyed our stay very much! The breakfast in the fridge is nice, dogs very mich welcomed, free parking, pizzeria and Lidl just outside of the hotel. You get a code for the door and key for your room, everything super easy and quick! I recommend :)

Nothing to dislike here, this is a 10...We had only booked for a few days' stay here - we wish we had booked for longer! The out-of town centre location turns out to be an advantage - very easy parking, good local shops/eateries next to apartment too - and very well-situated to explore Lakeland. Regular bus service to Tampere town centre from here - so for one day only we left the car and took the bus...All in all a very enjoyable stay in every way....
This exceeded our expectations - an excellent, well-equipped apartment room - and very suitable for a family with children like ourselves - the superb bathroom including mobility grab rails and plenty of space for the walk-in shower, easy disabled access too if needed. Easy, free safe parking next to the room for our rental car, supermarkets and some good restaurants right next door too. And full marks for all the free food in the room and fridge ready for our arrival (and for breakfast in room next few days). Location fine - an easy car-drive to the town centre - or park the car for a day (as we did) and take the bus! Very happy with our stay here - we would certainly return...

Wifi doesn't reach room number 1 too well - had to use my mobile hotspot instead to do some work and download/upload files.
Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. Breakfast is served (prior to arrival) in the room, there's a lot of what you can prepare for yourself during the day. Cosy room (yet a bit small). Perfect location - good chance to have a walk around, everything needed is just behind the corner. Very quiet and comfortable, had a good rest.

A bit noisy plumbing and fridge/freezer combination, other wise no complaints.
Good facilities in the family room. Excellent beds for the kids, not have to worry that they will fall. Big bathroom. Clean room. Basic breakfast selection but a lot to eat. Easy to prepare/warm your own dinner/food. Market in 20 m meters to pick up supplies.

Extra clean spacious, comfortable room with kitchen and all necessary supplies. Free parking outside. Just several minutes drive from Tampere center.

Very cosy apartment, very clean. Lovely breakfast in the room, included all we needed. Free parking in front of the hotel. Electric car charging also possible in front of the Lidl across the street. Recommend!

Everything worked great, and it was nice and clean. Breakfast was really good. Perfect when all we wanted was to sleep comfortably while on a road trip.

Location a little offside, but close to the city. Air-conditioning and refrigerator very loud during the night. There was no option to regulate.
The room and the included breakfast were plentiful and of good quality! Super easy check-in and check-out. Perfect for a family with 2 adults and 3 children!

Would be nice to have a shelf in the shower and one more hook for towels (currently 3 for two people). Ventilation is quite loud.
Nice room, small but conformable, good breakfast in the fridge. Own parking.

Found the mattress and pillow somewhat uncomfortable and of lesser quality.
Fine place to stay outside of Tampere, a short drive from the city in a nice neighbourhood. Right next to the grocery store and other places, free parking behind the hotel. Rooms have everything you need (light toiletries, small kitchenette, TV with several channels) but are not overly comfortable for anything but sleeping. Our room had two small twin beds and two plastic chairs.
