Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandThe hallways and the elevator of the hotel were not clean most of the time. when our room was cleaned after 5 days (!) we only got new towels and no new bed sheets. Besides, most of the furniture and the bathroom door were damaged.
Great location in the city center. Quiet most of the time

FinlandAll the way from the entrence to the room everything was in very bad shape. The room was dirty, spots and hair everywhere. Beds were broken, tv broken, window broken… The room itself was in really bad shape. Much noise from other guests at night. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone!

BelgiumThere is no way to complain as no reception. A board in the hall says you can call but you'll have to pay. It also says there is a toll-free phone at reception but nothing can be found. Oh, and did I mention, it was dirty?
It was dirty. The hallway was dirty, the elevator stank to beer, the floor with the rooms was greasy, the floor of the room was sticky. Only the beds were clean. There was 1 cleaninglady working really hard, underpaid and overworked.

FinlandI could not come into the hotel because Booking.com send me "temporal code" or something 4 digital code so I was confused and think this is the code to the door. The code was absolutely unuseful it didn't fit anything = why needed to send it to confuse people. Then I realize that I did not complete some information on the Omena homepage, so I tried to do that but it didn't go, something was wrong and I could not send my information, the sending button was just freezing, I checked the information 100 times and it was correct. OK, that can happen! BUT I started to call the phone number which, according to the internet page working 24/7. I could not reach it for 1,5 hours!!!! I stood there with my 12 years old daughter trying to call but nobody answered!!! In the end, we went to the SOKOS hotel and bought a room there! How is that client can not reach the hotel if have some problem????? HOW they could take money BEFORE the information is complete and not sending the code? in an hour and half, my husband tried to complete the survey from home and send me a code but we were already at the SOKOS because I had 12 years old tired child and we were at the midnight on the street could not reach OMENA telephone number !!! At least if they answer and help us I would not be so angry Never never again

Finland-Bidet was leaking when we got there and the floor was wet. -There was trash under the bed from the previous guests. -We could not open windows and there was no clear way to control temperature. -The layout of the room (in which the tv was placed directly at the end of the bed) meant that tall people like us could not fully extend our legs. -No checkout slip.
The breakfast was great! The check-in process was very easy.

FinlandWhen we arrived with three people there was only beds for two. Managed to find a cleaner (because there is no reception) who showed us how one of the seats folded out to a bed. No instructions left anywhere for that. The only blanket for this third bed was an uncovered doona with no cover available hidden inside a pillow case which we had to enquire about a second time with the cleaner. We had made the mistake of booking this hotel a second time on our return trip. The room we were given was obviously the last available room that you had to go out into a stairwell to acess. It was a strange split level room with a tiny spiral staicase that was difficult to drag luggage down. There was a banana peel on the floor from a previous tenant and only towels for two people when we had paid for three. The view in both rooms was just scaffolding with a plastic covering and workmen just outside the window. Needless to say... we will not be staying in Omena Hotels ever again. Very disappointed.
The location was good. Right in the heart of the city and close to everything

FinlandEverything was very unclean. Building was in worn out condition. Lift was many decades old and dirty. Bathroom had moulds. Room floor was old and dirty. Bed was very uncomfortable. We had to leave early in the morning and had the worst night ever. I could have had same facility by paying 20 euros at some hostel, this wasn't worth 85 euros. I am never coming back or will book any omena hotels in other cities.
