The breakfast was exceptional for Finland - hot and cold meats incl smoked reindeer, smoked salmon, and lots of egg dishes, breads, cakes, fresh food (salad/berries/) then berries, various drinks etc. So good. Location was great - on the edge of a small town and easy to access routes out too. On a beautiful lake. And has an amazing sauna you can privately book.

The location is great! Surrounded by the beautiful Lake Kemijärvi. Breakfast is one of the best I have ever had: local fish, berries, and reindeer, among other traditional Finnish delicacies.

Everything was so outstanding! Very, very nice location and staff. We did stand up paddeling and canoeing on the lake and spend a lot of time in the sauna.

the hospitality, the rooms, the atmosphere, it was more than wonderful. We loved staying there and the host was more than helpful and thought along with us and gave as good advise and more.

The beds weren't the most comfortable and it took a bit to move furniture around so we could create one bed from two twins. We didn't have an option to book anything but twin beds even though other rooms were available. In winter, the town nearby isn't the most active.

Though it was offseason, the hotel owner/manager was very helpful is getting us in and keeping us comfortable. We were the only ones for our second day yet we had a full breakfast prepared at our requested time.

Nothing that really can be changed, although not a nuisance, but perhaps too close to the main route through Kemijarvi.

A great selection of delicious breakfast choices. Rustic charm on the lakeside. Quiet unassuming atmosphere. Plenty of room in the suite of the ‘red house’, with more than adequate facilities for the average traveller.

The position is only ok. The lake nearby is beautiful but there's also an industry of some sort just near the structure, with it's smokestack very visible from the hotel. Not really much the owner can do about it and also nothing that can ruin your stay, just something to keep in mind.

This little hotel is on the shore of a lake, has great rooms, cozy, beautiful and quite. The owner was a very kind a friendly lady who gave us many tips on activities and prepared us a beautiful Sauna, with a fireplace at our disposal to relax after that.

Everything was perfect!

It was a wonderful experience visiting Kemijarvi and staying in this hotel. I would stay, it was one of the best hotels we have been to so far. The staff and people around were so kind and helpful. We want to say THANK YOU to everyone who made this place so comfortable, warm and enjoyable. The hotel itself is surrounded by nature. And everything is organized/decorated following the Finnish traditions. Cosy rooms, wooden houses, lake nearby, lights, pier, restaurant...it all exceeded our expectations. The sauna is what is supposed to be a real Finnish sauna. The atmosphere of this place is just magical. Additionally, we travelled with our dog Nita and everyone was so nice to her. So, Nita appreciates this as well:)

You dont see how close it is to the main road on the pictures. Ig you want to go to the sauna you have to heat it yourself.

The hotel owner was great. The breakfast was delicious. It's a cozy place at the lakeside. We liked it!
