How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Apartment exceeded our expectations - had a whole brand new cooking stove, oven and island table for eating. Toilet and beds were new and clean too, which are the most important to me. Sofa bed was extremely decent, no complaints. Location was near to city centre (ard 8mins walk to cathedral) Host was very helpful. Would highly recommend!

It was a bit tricky to find the actual property and then figure out how to use the lock keypad, e.g. how to open and how to make sure it locks.
The room was clean and in order. The location is good. Easy to get to and back from the heart of Turku. Kuupitaa train station is about a 15-20 min walk.

Very old towels seemed dirty and never want to touch them. Small kitchen and bathroom. Cleaning need to improve.

Everything was well set up, short walking distance to the Aura river and marketplace. I especially liked Moomin style bedlinen and Finnish tableware. Would defenately visit again.

Very good position in the city centre with possibility to park car for free onsite. Excellent communication with the host. The appartment is cosy, well renovated and fully equipped with everything you need. Easy check in and check out.

There's a big TV inside, with no TV Channels. It was a pity, we couldn't watch the footballgame.
Very friendly hosts, everything inside you need for 1 night, very cool fridge, perfect!

You should definitely work on the pictures ;)
The communication with the host was excellent- he was responsive and we really appreciated the local tips. The apartment itself looked much better than in the pictures. It was clean and well equipped (fridge, oven, microwave, hob, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine etc). I fully recommend it even for longer stays.

Everything had been thought of from utensils to good internet to spare bedding. It's compact, but ticks every box. Only thing missing is a sauna of your own. :)

Just a tip for those light sleepers that are sensitive to traffic sound at night , bring earplugs.
It is a flat, so one has to buy foods. The place is very center, near the river, twenty minutes walk from the station.

I loved everything.
There's not a single thing that wasn't great. The apartment is in there very center and it is clean, warm and well-equipped. The host was very nice, he even helped us when our car broke down.

We booked a 1-story apartment, but this one appeared to be 2-and-a-half-story one, with living room on the first floor, bedroom on the second, and kitchen and WC in between. It looked quite nice, but was a bit unusual to climb the stairs every time you need something from the kitchen or want to wash hands. Kind of a good exercise, anyway :)
When we arrived we got a bit different apartment, that we originally booked, because there was some renovation going on, but this one was even bigger and better. Everything was clean and comfortable, the host was very friendly and the apartment has very good location.

The property was hard to find as it is set in a complex and directions were poor. We woke one morning with men on the roof cleaning it with a truck parked outside our windows. We had not been told this would be happening during our stay and it spoiled our visit. The noise from properties above and beside was also loud. Renovation to one side, people talking and moving around above… The room smelled bad on arrival due to garbage left by previous guests that the cleaner had not removed. The pillows were small and uncomfortable. There was a message on the wall not to use the curtain- and the blind wasn’t enough to block out the 24 hour light.
