Hotel location is nice. It stands on edge of town and national park, so that convenient for shopping or eating out to town side and also easy to enjoy hiking in the woods or aurora watching at hill top hut. Breakfast is delicious. In-room sauna is very comfortable.

The room was very hot with poor sound-proofing and not very good air.

Good location close to the cross-country skiing tracks. Wide selection at breakfast.

Breakfast servings weren't restocked even one hour before closing. That's a bit shame, only got salmon mousse on one day out of three. Breakfast could include more basic stuff too for wider audience.

Bedsheets had hairs, was not completely clean. Bed was not double but rather two singles bunched together.

Location is good for getting to the ski resort. Room had sauna and kitchenette in the room.

The buildings seem a bit old but what bothered me the most is that the room, the reception, the restaurant for the breakfast and the sauna were in 4 different places.

The breakfast was amazing, soooo much choice! The room was spacious!

You have to walk outside to reach the breakfast area & the restaurant. The breakfast area was very crowded. Overall, the place felt very touristy; a bit unauthentic.

Nice big room, I really loved how it was made up with wood. Large choice for breakfast. Very well located, close to the trails in Urho Kekkonen National Park. Restaurant Kaltio was very good.

Bedroom was tiny and the single beds very narrow —- hard to find and use outlets for necessary devices. Had to use overflow parking lot away from building where rooms located, which was difficult in driving rain — no assistance offered.

One of the best breakfast buffets I’ve ever experienced, and dinner in the restaurant the night of arrival was tasty as well and a good value.

The pillows were kind of bad. The soundproofing and echo, had to listen neighbour sing. Minor bugs in the hotels software of the tv but i got a good laugh out of them. Amount of parking space

Location is really nice, the view to the forest. Breakfast was superb and so were the staff. The room itself was really nice even if the couch was really old. Beds were nice and clean. Great bug in hotel menu of the tv, gave me a laugh, check the picture, i think it was in the menu about the gym

The room was extremely cold, really cold, even though there was heater in the room. It’s useless. The check-in reception was at another place (gielas cafe). We have to walk quite a bit. The breakfast too. Not in the hotel itself, have to walk out to Gielas Cafe.

It was little old and run down. Like it was stuck in the 90s. Sofas were quite sqeaky and old. Worst part was the awful flat tiny pillows. Our room was next to the staff cleaning area so it was a a major pile of just laundry bags left outside. Felt little messy.

The location was excellent. Saariselkä is small so everything is walking distance. Safaris, grocery store, ski lifts etc. The Paraspaikka apartments had a Sauna in them which was great. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was ok.

Read Carefully if you want to book a room in this “hotel”. - after booking confirmation and payment, once at the reception an extra of 95€ has been pretended for a NOT requested upgrade (we have a small dog) even if we informed about the dog by phone before booking! - very poor Wi-Fi (I travelled the world, had a better Wi-Fi even in Africa). When I asked for a better service, their proposal was to pay extra 25€ for nothing (a place in a meeting room with same connection) - bad cleaning service - bath leaking water everywhere during a normal shower - the problem is the staff service: no customer care, no attentions for any request, no facilities, no reception after 10 pm, no communication between the staff, no problem solving! Never Again!

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are modern with a Lapland twist. We stayed in a room with a sauna, and both the room and the sauna were gorgeous. On top of all of this their customer service was amazing! Highly recommend the hotel to everyone wishing to stay in Saariselkä.
