Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEarly in the morning, the a sweeper truck started cleaning the market square and it sounded as if we were on a boat. If that hadn't woken us up, we would have missed the glorious sunrise over the roof tops.
The location opposite the market hall is ideal for shopping, theatre and mucic events. Excellent breakfast with healthy options. The twin room, although quite small, was clean and comfortable. Helpful staff.

ItalyThe shower and the bathroom share the same floor so it can get messy. But they give you a toolkit to dry it, in case too much water goes out.
The bed was big and very comfortable. There were different pillows among which to choose the best one for myself. The breakfast was good and with a lot of different offer. The location is great!!!

BelgiumMy overall impression is that the hotel needs a refurbishment. The decor is starting to get a bit old and tired. There was a faint cigarette smell in my room.

FinlandHotel is a bit dated, cleanliness does not match the room price, there was no private parking as advertised (parking is done in the public Tori parking, with a special hotel card).
Excellent location, professional and friendly staff, really good breakfast, air conditioning was working fine on a hot summer night.

IsraelIn booking is written that the hotel has a parking place but it's not true. There is a parking under the supermarket but you will pay for it. Before arriving i sent a mail to the reception that i need a parking place but didn't got an answer. You can ask for a free ticket from the registration and if you lucky you will get it. There was some dirt on the floor in the room and on the floor in the hallway. Attached the photo. I do not recommend the restaurant at the hotel. I don't know if it belongs to the hotel. Long serve, meat ok but not a masterpiece. The politeness of the waitresses remains to be desired.
Hotel accommodation in the most central location. The breakfast is plentiful and the service is very friendly. Big room. The facilities are good and everything works.

The
FinlandThe best hotel in Kuopio because the hotel's service and quality are top notch and the hotel's location is the best. Next to the hotel, under the market, there is a large, clean car parking hall, from where you can walk inside the hotel. The rooms are clean and the heating control is good. This hotel is therefore in the best location of the city of Kuopio, next to the center. Nice and lively head next to the market. The inhabitants of the city of Kuopio are happy, talkative, helpful and honest. This city still has good Christianity and a Protestant Bishop in power. Here it is also nice to move along the different streets to the lake shore. Even to swim or play tennis. Near the hotel there are restaurants, shops, an interesting fresh market and nice cafes. The center of Kuopio and the hotel is a safe environment for vacationing, shopping, eating, drinking coffee and being and enjoying yourself. In addition, Kuopio has the best Police in Finland. The police arrive at the market in emergency situations in about 5 minutes. I have also lived in Kuopio for 20 years.

The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the city centre. Every bus stop is just a walking distance. You can easily go to the airport using one of the bus stops. The train station is just less than 10 mins by walk from the hotel. Google map was very helpful for me as I can easily get directions and bus schedules from it. The cost of a 1-hour single ticket is 3.30 EUR. I would advise anyone visiting Kuopio to download the bus app (app name: Vilkkus) as you can buy tickets using your credit card if you don't have a Finnish bank card, with many options like a 1-day ticket, 2-days ticket etc to choose from (it is far cheaper than buying multiple 1- hour single tickets from the bus driver). There are adults and kids ticket price options in the app. The breakfast was delicious with many choices to make from. The room was super clean and the staff were very friendly and ready to help. There are bicycles at the hotel which you can borrow for a couple of hours. Despite being in the city centre, you can hardly hear any noise around.
