Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Poland-1 point for dismissing my request before arrival to shorten my stay from 4 to 3 days. They are not obliged to do so, but it’s not 10/10 customer experience. Also -1 point for room cleaning. I have never seen cleaning like that in any of hundreds of hotels I stayed at, it’s a joke.
The hotel is new (or after refurbishment) and is both very conveniently located and comfortable.

SwedenSlightly unfriendly staff at check out. If you have a bad day, stay in the office or at least dont show it to your guests. Breakfast was chaos. the design of the restaurant and the breakfast buffet is creating people bumping in to each other. I know this is high season and the hotel was probably having very high occupancy but there is ways to plan this better. The staff did a great job though to clear tables and to keep everything fresh. There is no information in the room of the telephone number to the reception, spa, restaurant etc which is strange. Impossible to connect Wifi to the Apple Iphone. when we went to ask, front office staff acknowledged there is a issue and we received a 5 page document that supposedly explained how to connect. Not the way you want to spend your stay, trying to figure out how to connect to the wifi...... Fix it please.
Room was large and nice even with a extra bed for our son. The decor was modern and the room had everything required for a comfortable stay such as safety deposit box, iron and ironing board, reasonably priced minibar, nice bathroom. I liked the fact that the hotel room door had a lock chain. Check in and out was quick and painless thanks to enough staff at the front office. Great! Nice to see!

FranceConstruction work at the nearby Kauppatori square was still in full swing in May '22. We had to remind the reception about the undone room cleaning once.
The new Hamburger Börs Hotel in Turku was inaugurated just a few months prior to our visit and consequently everything was new. Good and stylish materials had been used in the room. There was ample space for storage, bathroom included. The design of the restaurant/breakfast room was a bit sombre, though. The breakfast buffet selection was very good, typical Scandinavian. The hotel has a nice rooftop bar. The front desk personnel was polite and most helpful.

FinlandSurprisingly, toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided. Lipstick stains were found on a towel and bathrobe, not a major issue though.
The location was excellent, It's located in the heart of the City Centre. The hotel looked way impressive in person than pictures from the website.

United KingdomSound seems to carry through the floors A LOT, so much so that I had to ask the night manager to move rooms (and they very kindly sorted that out for me after the first night). The noises were just lots of thuds coming from rooms above regularly.
The breakfast was very good - lots of options, although seating was a little limited

GreeceI did not like the very very bad housekeeping services. It was like a joke. They came in the room every day but they covered the bed with the duvet, placed the pillows as they should be, did not straighten the bottom sheet at all, and left. They did not clean the bathroom and left, except when I complained, the used towels in a mess. Did not clean for 5 days the floors, either in the room or the bathroom. Housekeeping was like a joke. BTW, my colleagues complained about the same problem. Some of us complained to the receptionist. They apologised profusely and sent someone to do the job. I was thinking that they save money this way. Most colleagues did not complain. When I did they would actually clean the room and bathroom. Maybe this is not important for some people, but I like living in clean quarters and getting my money's worth when I go to a hotel!
I went to Turku for a conference and stayed 5 nights. The hotel is at a very nice location, in the center of downtown Turku. The common areas were pleasant. I could sit and work in the couches and feel comfortable. The common area was generally clean. The room was big enough with a nice view over the central square.

EstoniaThe cleanliness of the room was somewhat below expectation for a hotel of this caliber. There was a noticeable stain on the bed siding, and it seems that the carpet could use more regular vacuuming, given the presence of dust. The coat hanger, too, had a layer of dust, suggesting that the cleaning might not have been thorough. We noted that a few glasses were not available at first, and upon wanting to use the cups, found them to be not entirely clean. It seems these may not have been inspected prior to placement in the room. For families with small children, it might be beneficial to know that the soap in the bathroom is somewhat difficult for little ones to reach. There is no step or platform provided, though a chair from the bedroom can be used. An enhancement of the room's child-friendly amenities could be an area for the hotel to consider. Additionally, we found that the shower door leaked slightly, and apart from towels, there was no other means to clean up the water. A wiper in the bathroom might be a practical addition to address such issues.
The hotel is conveniently situated in the city center, with key attractions within walking distance. The bed provided comfort and the air conditioning functioned well and noiselessly. The shower delivered strong water pressure, which was appreciated. Breakfast served was tasty. Parking is located under the town square located at Yliopistonkatu 16.

Turkey-Outside was -6C degrees and you can only adjust the thermometer up to 23C. I do not know if they only expect Finnish guests but most of the people will hate that limitation. (they give a small oil heater if you demand and it comes from another hotel) -Room service menu is limited and extremely over-priced. -Room cleaning service is poor. During my 13 days of stay they made my bed only 5 to 6 times. When they enter for cleaning mostly only empty the bin and sweep the bathroom floor. No folding no dust removing no arranging obviously messy interiors.
It is new and located at the very heart of the city. Desk and bar crew were kind and helpful.

FinlandHad to wait for the seating in the breakfast room. Too crowded. Our room had not been cleaned and it was never done during our 3-night stay either. They just hastily made our beds and threw towels into the bathroom. I told a receptionist and later contacted the CEO whose assistant responded and is taking appropriate actions like training staff and have a better supervision.
Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. No traffic noises heard in the room even though our room was over busy street.
