Value for money. No frills hotel and exactly what I paid for. The room was clean and good size for a short stay.

It's a bit far away from the center of Mariehamn, but still it has a really good connection -- nice walking distance along the sea.

We arrived to the island really early and staff welcomed and we were given the room, we even offered a breakfast on the day of arrival. It was because of a low number of guests they have at this time of the year, but it was very kind of them!

Nothing. The hotel was up to our expectations.

We were happy to find a room on a short notice via booking.com. In summer finding a room in Mariehamn can be very hard. That is why our expectations were not that high. Hotel Strandnäs fulfilled the task vey well. The hotel is a bit aside from town center and very basic. Nothing was fancy but everything worked and atmosphere was friendly and cosy.

-The bathroom needs to have a larger toilet sink and some wide shelfs. Shower curtains should be long and wide also. -By night when we tried to sleep, You can really hear from upstairs noise’. -The breakfast was okay, just missing scrabble eggs and bacon.

We like the room with a ”trinettkök” (stove with small ref plus kitchen sink) we have on us our 40L electric cool box with battery charge inside the room. The doublebed and the bunk bed is too much for a family of 3. Our son usually sleeps in the middle of us. Otherwise the room was clean when we entered.

Hotel was easy to reach also by walking as parks and pedestrian ways lead the way to the hotel from the center of town. The hotel offers a good breakfast (no bacon and scrambled eggs, but eggs and porridge). The TV channel selections focuses on finnish and swedish tv channels but some others as well. I did not use but got the impression that bikes were also available. I liked that the breakfast started early and the selection of cold cuts etc was wide.

Location is far from the centre if you dont drive. Best if you rent a bike at the port (eur 21/24 hours and cycle to the hotel. Roads are perfect and flatish..

Clean, quiet hotel. Easy to park in the front if you drive. Bike rental works, eur 10/12 hours or eur 15/24 hours. The breakfast is great!

- Breakfast buffet was quite poor. - No toiletries whatsoever! You'd expect that a 150€/night room would offer at least some shampoo and body wash. - The room could be in better shape: old and weary furniture, bathroom has seen far better days, curtains/drops failed to cover all windows (during Midsummer, this can be very annoying)

- The staff at the breakfast venue was really polite and helpful. - The location was lovely. - Our room was big and comfortable.

The breakfast was decent. It's possible to rent a bicycle for 15 euros/24h which is a great way to move around the area. The location was nice and quiet. Friendly staff.

A few kilometers from centrum. Bit too much to walk, so used car to move to the centrum. Simple decoration (no decoration) in room, a few paintings would have been nice. Room has kitchenette, but no kitchenware at all -> take along something to boil tea water.

A nice, quiet and clean hotel with friendly staff and ok-good breakfast. Bike rent possible for 10 euro. A big parking area next to hotel.

The ventilation in the bathroom is not working, hence it was very moist the whole time. In general the ventilation and noise isolation in the building are very low quality. The room cleaning wasn’t well done either - the drinking glasses, bed sheets and soap dispensers were not changed throughout the whole stay.

Good location, free parking, modest but good breakfast, friendly staff, sufficient quality of the room. Good place to stay for 1-3 nights. Store nearby, walking distance to the beach and only 4km from the city centre. A quite and pleasant looking residential district.

My room card needed 3-4 tries before it unlocked my door. Magnetic card, saw other rooms have newer locks, so might be ongoing improvement👍
