How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very convenient location, the hosts were super-helpful and provided lits of information. The apartment was well-stocked with pantry staples, coffee/tea etc. The sauna was very enjoyable.

Lovely cosy and well presented apartment with everything we needed. Close proximity to city centre and buses to Santa Village, Santa Park and the airport. We were provided with plenty of information about the accommodation and local area to help us enjoy our stay. We would recommend!

The place is in a great location, walking distance from the centre. It is very clean and had everything we needed.The host was great and easy to communicate with and couldn't praise her enough.

Lovely apartment. Everything perfect. Definitely recommend. Excellent location just around the corner from the bus stop and very close to supermarket. Very quiet building. Owner on hand by text to answer any questions. Sauna was great after a day out in the snow. Plenty of room for clothes and suitcases. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again when in Rovinami.

Can't think of anything.
Check in time was 5pm but Satu (host) provided us with the details to self check in which was so easy to follow and we got in at 2pm. The apartment was everything we expected from photos and previous reviews and was spotlessly cleaned. Tea, coffee, fruit, provided as is shampoo, shower gel, towels etc. Would definitely rebook this if returning in the future.

The apartment is beautiful and cozy, the bed and the sofa-bed are spacious and comfy. The private sauna was great after a cold day outside. The owners were very responsive and helpful, providing us with plenty of recommendation on where to eat/what to see, etc. Highly recommended!

Amazing property that provided amazing stay. Would definitely book again. The property was clean, modern and excellently maintained. Very close to transportation, playgrounds (Angry Birds playground one block away) if with kids and within real walking distance, of the city center.

The apartment layout was lovely, it gave the four of us enough room to feel comfortable. There was tea, coffee and other amenities provided which was so kind! The location was great, only a 10 minute walk from the shopping centre with loads of cafes and restaurants nearby. The hosts were lovely, great at communicating and gave us lots of nice tips and recommendations during our stay 😊

Excellent facilities and our hosts went above and beyond in providing detailed advice on the area. We only stayed here for 2 days during a longer trip in Finland but wished we had stayed here longer. Due to the low price we thought this was the ‘budget’ part of our trip, but it was truly luxurious.

Excellent location, minutes from everything. Felt lovely and cosy with a winter feel. Provided some free sledges which we made use of on your last day. Always available on hand if we needed them via whats app.

Welcoming apartment with tea, coffee, fruits and sweets at checkin. Sauna is perfect after a cold day outdoor. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and 5 min walking to the city centre and all the nice restaurants in Rovaniemi. The host is really helpful with lots of tips and insights.

Very clean and well equipped suite located just a few minutes walk from the town centre. We enjoyed the sauna and calm and quiet neighbourhood. There was everything provided one may need and a very good communication. I can highly recommend this place.

Small complaint about there being crisps/crumbs on the sofa bed when we pulled it out and the light shades were lovely and fancy but quite dusty. Otherwise the whole apartment was spotless.
Fantastic apartment very close to Rovaniemi centre! spacious, great facilities, the Sauna was a lovely bonus too. Able to cook and eat there, plenty of cutlery and pans etc. even had a dishwasher and washing machine! The apartment has a secure coded entrance and is not far at all from the angry birds play park where you can go sledging. The hosts wife was so so helpful, messaged us on WhatsApp (free Wi-Fi in the apartment too) with videos/instructions and tips etc.

Really difficult to find a fault here. The host understands are really cared about making sure our stay was as it should be.
The host was the most helpful and always happy to respond to our questions on Whatsapp. The response to our question about the sauna instructions came almost immediately. The kitchen was very well stocked. The bed was comfortable. Lots of storage space which was really nice. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was a nice touch. Everything looked as it did in the pictures.
