It was not clear to me how to make check-in, it needs to be done sooner, a few days before. In case you forget, you can call on info center on the website of Viking Line. Maybe there will be not a problem right at the port either, but I wanted to be sure and stress-free :) Also not sure about the time you need to leave your room. But in case you won't wake up, cleaning ladies will do that for you with a hard knocking until you open the door.

Nice way to travel from Helsinki to Tallinn or the other way in the night and save money for accommodation. The room has the size you choose, but for just sleeping it's okay.

There was no place to sit in a cafe, a lot of people were sleeping there. In the gaming room a guy was sleeping, people were basically sleeping everywhere, even on the floor. Till 1am some men were yelling on 6th floor where rooms are and we couldn't sleep.

The room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable, great pillows. The bathroom was clean. Different variety of food in cafe, shop. The personal is great and willing to help.

There was no sign and announcement to offboard when we got to Talin in the early morning.

Check-in is a bit special, you have to register the traveller details via an email beforehand. At the self check-in in the ferry terminal we didn’t have a fitting number but it was enough time to go to a person and get a ticket there.

Great possibility to cross the sea and sleep. You have the room for yourself and it’s like a small hotel room. Benefit: You see Helsinki disappear and Tallinn appear at the horizon.

I kept waking every time the engine starts as the whole bed starts to shake. If you’re traveling Helsinki-Tallinn I do not recommend overnight stay as it will go back and forth while you were sleeping.

Great option if you're travelling from Helsinki to Tallinn. You get a ferry experience + stay + transport, all in one. The ferry is equipped with everything, and there are tons of things to do if you're coming with your family or friends. Food is good, with various options, including vegan.

Since this is not a hotel room, it's a cabin in a ferry - there is no point in comparing the two. I think this is fine for one night.

The ferry was a great alternative - in terms of time and money - to spending a night in Helsinki and then catching a ferry to Tallinn (or going to Tallinn in the evening and staying in a hotel there). The room was quite reasonable and offered a hot shower and comfortable bunks. The ferry overall had a few restaurants and a playing area for children. As an FYI, the ferry takes the usual 2 hours to get to Tallinn, but you remain in your cabin until about 6 in the morning after it has docked (you cannot disembark in the middle of the night).

Housekeeping trying to unlock the room multiple times in the morning yelling "five minutes to disembark" when it was actually 20.

Bedding was the best. Private room with window. Shower had great pressure and hot water. Transport snd lodging, excellent value.

It was a great night. It was both travel and rest in the right room. One night I slept in the room and the next morning I was in another country. it was great.

Waking up at 5.30am. The room with the window is practically the same as the room without it, as you (a) travel at night, (b) close the window anyway because it faces the desk with people walking around (applies to all cabins). So if you want to save some money don’t take the one with window — useless.

Really unique nice experience. The cabin is small but has even more than the average hotel would offer. Great stuff. A lot of things to do on the ship.

Excellent way to get from Helsinki to Tallinn overnight. The cabin was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Beautiful sunset when leaving Helsinki. Super easy check in, and great that the Viking Line terminals in both Helsinki and Tallinn were very close to the city centres.
