We were so grateful that our host met us at the airport and we followed him back to the villa as we arrived late in the evening. The villa was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the location in the forest was amazing. We had a great holiday.

No complaints about this villa. The kitchen was the best equipped we've had on our trip so far. The bathroom was newly renovated and comfortable. The owners attention to detail was fantastic - there was a Christmas tree up, they gave us a welcome bottle of champagne and Gloggi for our kids, plenty of sledding for our kids at the villa. Absolutely no complaints at all. Location is on the outskirts of Rovaniemi so you feel like you are in a relatively secluded area (there are other villas around) but relatively close to Rovaniemi for access to shops. Not far from Santa Park and Santa Claus Village.

Absolutely fantastic location, charming surrounding area. House with all the necessary amenities for a family, impeccable bathroom, with sauna, fully equipped kitchen and the house even had Christmas decorations. Enchanting.

Amazing…an absolute winter wonderland!! The host was so helpful, the villa is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need!! As a family of 5 we had lots of space! We did not want to leave.

It's a bit further away from town so you'll need a car, but it's a wonderful place to stay for a couple of days with friends or families. Would recommend for anyone travelling in small group.

Villa Peippo was just perfect! it comfortably sleeps 6 and there are two futons at the top of the stairs in the landing. it has everything you would need for an amazing trip to Lapland. The Aurora lights appeared over the Villa on our first night which was a huge bonus. We loved the shower and the sauna. I have to mention the drying cabinets in the hallway for all your ski gear… it was just fab. Just remove all outer clothing when you arrive in the door, hang everything in the cabinet and switch it on.. everything is nice and dry in no time! Would definitely stay here again if I return to Rovaniemi!

We loved the comfort and layout of the home. It had everything you would need. We especially liked the clothes drier which ensured everything was dry for the next trip outside. We also liked the keyless entry as it meant we didn't have to keep track of a key and the children could let themselves in after playing outside. Sleds were left on the porch which were a big hit with the kids. The owner helped us hire a car through Hertz and also met us at the airport so we could follow him to the property. SCV and Rovaniemi were less than 10 mins from the property. The Bearhill Husky pick up was at Ounasvaara which was less than a 5 min walk. We would highly recommend the property.

There is nothing we didn't like.

The villa was amazing, great location, cosy, had everything and more we needed. Dryer cupboard was great to use after being out all day. The host is so helpful, he met us at our accommodation and kept in touch about activities that he could reserve for us. The villa has everything a family needs, spacious, warm, even a sauna. The location is perfect, we had a hire car and it was only 10-15min drive to Santa Claus Village. Supermarket down the road. It felt secluded in the woods but close enough to places we needed to go. Would highly recommend this villa. Great value for money.

This was the perfect place to celebrate New Year in Finland with family and friends! I could not fault the location, as it is picturesque and unique, in a forest setting. We loved Villa Peippo, and appreciated the attention to detail with Pentik glassware, bedding and beautiful photos on the walls. Our host Veli-Matti was very helpful and recommended activities. We went skiing at Ounasvaara ski resort and took part in an Aurora hunt with Wild Blueberry tours, with a successful sighting of Aurora borealis which was indeed a gift! We would highly recommend staying in Villa Peippo for a family get away.

Everything was perfect

Villa Peippo provided the perfect backdrop for our first Christmas in Finland, reminiscent of my childhood Christmases. The cottage was decorated for Christmas, and everything was perfect! We also spent a memorable New Year in Villa Peippo and were very happy with our choice to stay there. The area was picturesque with snow-laden trees, peaceful and quiet, away from the touristy areas, which was the main purpose of staying at Ounasvaara. The Ounasvaara walking trails and viewing tower were close by, and we took full advantage of this. Also went on a pleasant walk to the Arktikum museum, though took the taxi back up the hill. Having access to a hire car is advised, though we managed well enough without a car for a few days. The self-catering option was great, and the kitchen equipment is of excellent quality, with Fiskars and Pentik items throughout. The washing machine and dryer, as well as the outdoor clothes and shoe dryer, were much appreciated. The sauna was nice but could have been hotter! Sledges were provided, thought we didn't try them out this time. Host Veli-Matti is very helpful and easy to contact, with quick replies to questions. We would highly recommend Villa Peippo for a family holiday, especially in winter!

Perfect spot. In the nature but not far away from the city. The host was super kind and helpful as we arrived in the evening he made sure we were able to get there in no time/stress free. The villa is a dream and has everything you need. Quiet place close to a panoramic spot. Most activities will pick you up from the Villa or from a pick up spot 5 min walking distance.

Great location and fabulous house. My husband loved the sauna. The kids thought it was brilliant and being 15 & 11 loved the free WiFi. The host was so accommodating and we also rented a car through hertz with him. Would highly recommend this property. True winter wonderland. Holiday to remember.
