Great hospitality from family! They were ready to take us in very short notice, offered delicious dinner and breakfast. Surrounding is super silent. They have probably the smallest shop in Finland with essentials available, very handy when you need something. We were staying in after hiking, so good for nature gurmans.

Not a place to suit everyone but I loved it!

I could have done with a table in my room as I tend to do a bit of work while I'm away and although there is plenty of table space in the communal area, I'd rather work in my room so I can leave it and finish it later. It wasn't a big deal though.

First of all, this place will definitely not suit everyone. It is really not a hotel, it is more a collection of timber buildings in a forest near a lake and if you're the sort who always needs pampering, restaurants without having to walk more than 50 metres and an easy life everywhere you go without ever getting your shoes dirty, this place is not for you. However, if you're more the outdoor intrepid type that likes to be VERY close to nature, give this place a try. I go to sparsely populated places like this to photograph nature - birds, animals, sunsets, view - so this place was just right. The owners, Eduardo and Sunna, are lovely, friendly people, I was even given a tour of the area on the back of a quad-bike!

The location is truly amazing with beautiful lake view. The room was cozy and had all we needed. However, the biggest advantage were the hosts - very engaged, friendly and super helpful! They helped us to charge our car battery and find a place where we can change it on Saturday - THANK YOU AGAIN!!! 😁
