Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyRooms are on the small side for a family of three. The breakfast could be better, especially for the price, but at least it's self service, so you're not restricted by strange time schedules.
Nicely designed rooms. Big store for vintage goods is fun, if you're into that.

FinlandDrainage at shared wc/showers could be more effective to keep floors from being flooded near the toilet seats.
Each room was unique with a vintage flavour. Overall atmosphere was nice and cozy.

FinlandThe room door was skewed a bit so any sounds from the corridor could easily be heard inside. It was still very quiet during the night. The bathrooms were quite cold. It would've been great if there was a proper bicycle floor pump around, there was only an old hand pump and you couldn't get much pressure out of it.
The rooms are cozy and the beds are good, it was the perfect place to crash after a long day of cycling. The doors operate with a keycode so you can arrive at any time. The staff was lovely, there were two showers and one modern kitchen. Breakfast was very good considering the size of the operation. The antique shop is located in the same building and it was gigantic, I could have spent hours just wandering around its various rooms.

IrelandOne of the two bathrooms lock was not working. Maybe that was only a temporary issue, but when the bathroom is shared, it is a problem…
Very quiet place, spacious and nicely decorated rooms. There is a kitchen that can be used to cook and we were able to use the terrace of the restaurant in the evening. The vintage shop was also great to visit.

GermanyThe bathroom could use better ventilation.
Very nice hosts who recently started to renovate the building and to open the B&B in it - and they have done a great job! The interior of the rooms is lovely, as is the kitchen. Even though the house was not yet entirely ready, the sauna was already working. Brekfast was great with a lot of choice!

FinlandOur room was small w separate beds (no probs) but noise insulation is weak: corridor is bit noisy and door access welcomes you every time nicely back, even during the night ;-) Our room did not have own shower but this is B&B, not a hotel, so you cannot expect that always. No room air con, only in the corridor but during the hot season, our room was still reasonable (around 25 degrees though).
In the middle of nowhere in beautiful Nauvo island of Turku archipelago. Property is an old school renovated for B&B purposes which makes atmosphere very cozy and homey. I think less than 10 rooms in all. Restaurant Fortuna Fajans (big thanks to Isabella!) downstairs is very good and serves also simple but good continental breakfast. Small walk away is some moors and sea, we also saw some Highland cattle roaming there, great! Nature is just outside the door. Owners work long days so they are flexible, as was the restaurant when we arrived close to their closing time.

FinlandThere were young girls staying in the hotel that made noise until very late and early in the morning, the sound carries through the rooms, the fire alarm system had a problem and made a false alarm in the middle of the night, shower ran out of hot water in the evening while I was in the shower
Lovely, helpful staff; Very lovely food at the restaurant, cool rooms with different themed decoration, and hotel combined to a vintage shop; lovely old building in a beautiful location.

FinlandThe listing said that there would be a sauna available, but unfortunately it was not ready for use yet. Which was too bad because we were really looking forward to using it after a long day of biking. It would have also been nice to know beforehand that the property was not finished yet and also AC in the rooms would have helped in the heat of summer
The room was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. We slept very well. Although the bathroom and toilet was shared, it was always clean and I didn’t ever have to wait to use it. The hosts were also friendly and helpful. It is in a nice quiet area and was very easy to find. There were lovely vintage pieces all around the property and also in the vintage shop which made it feel quite unique.
