Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Statessome staffs are very friendly, but no all. a couple waitresses were no warm. the massager Maggie was rude. lots of free activities listed on daily basis, bit dome of them never happened, or canceled last minutes. it has disappointed me , also wasted a lot of my time that set aside fir these activities. Property Managers can be more friendly and efficient in handling situations that come up.
the property has very beautiful beach and snorkeling area. Good vibes for solo travelers. Food is very good. some staffs are very friendly, such as the lead kava ceremony guy Mike, John, Ana and Phil in dive shop.

Sri LankaWe didn't appreciate the hidden mandatory meal plan prior to booking. If it's mandatory then it should have been included in the room rate or at the very least in the fine print. I am on an intermittent fast so I have only 2 meals per day, and when asking to pay for 2 meals, they refused. So I was forced to play for 3 meals. The food was exceptionally good but it would be better to allow guests to book b&b or half board or full board based on their preferences, than insist on a hidden mandatory payment after check-in. So the costs add up after booking, coz there's another 200Usd payment for the boat transfer to the island from Nadi.
The location is far up the Yasawas but the snorkeling was excellent, beach access was great, food was exceptional, staff were super friendly and accommodating, and everything was well planned and managed.

AustraliaI was worried about no air con in Summer but it was actually fine - lots of breeze through the windows. I’m trying to think of something I didn’t like but other than the high cost (that’s totally worth it) there’s nothing we didn’t like! We hated leaving that’s about it!
We stayed in the Garden View villa and it was absolutely wonderful. We came all this way so we could do the trip to the caves and it was worth the high cost and long boat trip. The lady who took us on the caves trip made it so enjoyable, she was so much fun. All the staff are what make this place so amazing, on top of how stunningly beautiful the location is. The beach and snorkelling is incredible. The food is also worth mentioning - wow! Proper foodie level. You won’t find better food in Fiji. The boys on the guitar singing and doing the kava ceremony each night made the nights so special, and always included us. The staff do everything they can to make your stay an experience you’ll never forget. Do all the activities you can, they’re all worth it. This was our best days in Fiji by far!

United StatesNothing. We loved our stay!a
It's all about the staff! From the dive shop staff, front office, and diningroom we were well looked after. They kept all activities and meals on time, and anything that we requested was obliged with a smile. In particular we loved the snorkeling excursion to the Cabbage Patch and the trip to the village.

New ZealandBlue Lagoon was the highlight of our trip to Fiji. The facilities were amazing. The beautiful housekeeper, Kitty, was so sweet, we were so fortunate to have such a caring sole be a part of our experience. Our room was a good size for three beds, but the weather was so warm, we wished we had air con. Loved the snorkling trip and the trip to the caves. Not to be missed. The meals exceeded my expectations, it was diverse and varied and more than enough. The dining room staff were all so friendly and made our stay there very special. Loved the dive centre, experienced and helpful, the dive masters made our dives the best. Thank you Blue Lagoon for the most amazing experience.

AustraliaShared unisex bathroom made me a little uncomfortable at first as is not something i am use to. Also not enough wet weather or alternative activities for when tours are cancelled etc. would be good to have options for when weather is bad , possibly add items like pool table and table tennis as wll as basketball hoop.
The staff at Blue lagoon are exceptional, a special mention to the band , Posh, Mike, Rick, you all made our stay memorable. Blue lagoon is lucky to have such wonderful staff. the food was amazing.

United StatesDisappointed in the excursions. They drove the boat so fast resulting in uncomfortable slamming. The base of our skull/ cervical spine still feels bruised 2 days later. And they made side trips to staff’s villages and for staff to shop at the grocery store prolonging the pounding and inconsiderate of our vacation time.
Great rooms, great food.

AustraliaThe weather was volatile as it was the rain season.
It was a great stay at this peaceful island of Nacula away from the city life. We took a course at the diving shop in the resort and met with the best diving instructor Hannah. The whole experience was amazing and we both got the certifications on our last day:) The restaurant of the resort is the highlight with a wide selection of yummy food. There are also lots of activities happening everyday - our favorite is the cave trip, which we would definitely recommend!
