Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyEverything was amazing. Nothing to not like
Phenomenal Resort with a one-of-a-kind staff dedicated to their craft in providing exclusive and individual care to each guest. Facilities are top-notch and not over the top to try and impress you with whatever fads may be trending at the time. Coconut resort sticks to traditional luxury appeals. The most important thing to us is that coconut beach creates a memorable experience. It is not just a resort....it's a moment of time you'll remember for the rest of your life

New ZealandThis resort was absolutely wonderful. The staff and the owner (Sheung) completely blew us away by making us feel so welcome and so at home. We all became like one big family and it was just such a unique and wonderful experience. The resort felt authentic and genuine which was exactly what we were looking for. Great activities were offered if you wanted to participate, I didnt even have time for reading! Best of all was the wonderful staff and the beautiful songs and music they played each morning and night. My two sons (17 and 11 years old) absolutely loved Coconut Beach Resort and we would love to come back again, next time with dad and our daughter who didnt make it this time. Thank you so much for making our stay truly magical and please say extra thank you to the dive team and my favourite musicians and warrior dancers. We will never forget YOU!

United KingdomHaving been to the Yasawas before, we were disappointed on arrival that the resort directly faces the prevailing winds. It means that to experience calm swimming and calm reef snorkelling - you need to organise and pay for it as an arranged activity. The staff are great at doing this, and it’s affordable, however it’s not the same as having calm waters on your doorstep. It may have been particularly windy when we went (mid April) - however if you want calm waters that you can enjoy whenever you want, pick a resort that is more sheltered.
Amazing staff. Great food too with generous portions, good quality and variety.

AustraliaThis was the most magical accomodation we’ve ever stayed at! Coconut Beach Resort is well worth the trip on the ferry. We loved seeing sunrise and sunset from the same island - what a unique experience. There are only a small number of bures here and so it’s like you have your own private beach. There are a wide variety of reasonably priced activities running everyday and a number of free of charge ones. We made great use of the complimentary snorkelling gear and stand-up paddle boards. The coral and fish around Tavewa island are stunning and the guides are very informative. The staff at this resort went above and beyond for us and we were blessed several times a day by their idyllic singing. The food was also great and we loved having a delicious set menu picked out for us everyday. Complimentary yoga with Mela in the mornings was a great way to start our days! WE WILL BE VISITING AGAIN!

United StatesWhere to even begin? The staff was Amazing we were serenaded every morning with the BULA song and it seemed someone was singing all the time and I loved it:) we had a medical emergency while we were there and the staff and owners took such amazing care of us and got us the care that we needed. I was able to scuba dive every day with Mike and Faustine who were exceptional dive masters and made for a good time. We loved our little hut and enjoyed getting to know fellow travelers if you are looking for a true Fiji experience look no further and go to coconuts

United StatesAir conditioning in the bungalow would have been a real plus during February. Flies in the dining area were an irritant. The addition of screens around the dining area would greatly improve this.
A very welcoming place with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our bungalow was large and just off the beach with a comfortable bed and a bathroom open to the sky. Snorkeling in the marine reserve just off the beach was a real highlight as was the beauty of the grounds. Communications in advance of our stay were first rate, as was the greatly appreciated help in booking our ferry rides.

Austriareally nothing but one needs to be aware that there is no aircondition ( probably only necessary in the wet season)
very small and quiet resort with pristine beaches located at the Blue Lagoon.pure relaxation without excessive ‚entertainment‘ - but just enough genuine cultural dances, songs and craft classes. the WHOLE CREW is incredibly nice, polite, knowledgeable and helpful. we have rarely felt so welcome and at the same time had so much privacy which was very much appreciated. Massi, Josh and Varta made sure we had some excellent boating and snorkeling experiences and the head chef really knows what he is doing 👍🏻 ⭐️. there is a set menue every day and we liked it all! Mojitos are fantastic by the way! the grounds are very well kept and there aren’t many places where you have sunrise and sunset to enjoy.

AustraliaOnly things I would change are to have aircon in the room and for the food to be a little better. As a vegetarian, a majority of my meals were a big salad or bowl of roast vegetables, mostly no protein or carbs, which left me quite hungry and would often give me a tummy ache. Afternoon tea could provide more as there’s a big gap between lunch & dinner and you work up quite the appetite after doing big activities during the day in the heat.
Such a beautiful, peaceful, tranquil resort. Lovely snorkelling right in front, beach front villa was fantastic. Loved the intimate feel of only having 20-25 guests at a time, is a perfect honeymoon type of resort. Enjoyed all having dinner & activities together with the other guests. Staff was accommodating and entertaining/fun to do activities with. Provided some of the best sunrise views and snorkelling locations too! The walk up to the top of the island was also a highlight of my trip.

United KingdomNothing!!!! It was all incredible. We will be back!!
Where do I start??!!! This place is simply incredible!! My dealings initially were through Sheung (who jointly owns CBR) with Alex. Sheung was helpful at every single stage and even organised our helicopter transfer with Island Hoppers which was so easy and such a great experience too. When we arrived by helicopter onto the beach at CBR we were greeted by lots of staff welcoming us with singing and smiles. Our bags were taken to our room. We were checked in so personally with a coconut drink in our hands. Then taken to our bungalow - which was amazing. There were only 8 other guests on the island with us. The food was amazing - with incredible views from where we sat a few feet from the beach. Staff sing at every meal. The coconut lined tree soft sand beach is wonderful and the gentle sea was like a bath. The gardens are immaculate. Whilst there I took the opportunity to do some scuba diving as CBR has its own PADI dive centre which is exclusively for the handful of guests. This is a real luxury! The diving is amazing and the dive masters, a married couple called Mike and Faustine, were incredible. They were super knowledgeable, helpful, happy to do whatever gives you the best experience. Finally, the thing that makes this place is the staff. They are absolutely AMAZING. So caring, kind, lovely and beautiful people. Always happy, always with a smile and sense of fun. They entertained us with so many things (crab races, coconut tree climbing, bracelet making, visits to sea caves, visits to a local school on a neighbouring island - a great experience!!!). Thank you so much to Betta, Terri, Manu, Api, Vata, Abu, Phillip, Mike, Faustine, Alex, and so many others. This is truly a boutique special experience. We loved our 5 days and are sad to have left but we will be back!!!! Do yourself a favour and go to this place if you are serious about experiencing Fiji at its best. Thank you so much Coconut Beach Resort.

AustraliaThe only reason I didn’t give it 10/10 for everything is because it’s not 10/10 luxury (for example fans not aircon) - however, we didn’t mind this, and the value for money for a beautiful beach resort holiday is outstanding.
You have to go here! The food, people, activities and surrounds are incredible. The restaurant catered extremely well to our dietaries (one no seafood and the other no coriander). Nothing was too much for the staff - they became like family and made us feel so welcome over the Christmas break, big shout out to Berta & Manu from the restaurant. The activities crew were awesome, special mention to Vater, Joe, Masi-squared & Abo, legends! We only did a handful over our 8 days (caves is a must, and the hike & snorkelling is awesome) because we wanted to mostly chill and that was totally fine with the team. We did yoga a few mornings and had the best massages from Cass which was super relaxing. The resort itself is beautiful, you can watch the sunrise and sunset. The island was a little windy over our stay but didn’t stop us from enjoying the island. The bar was well stocked- you have to have the Pina Colada, the fresh coconut is the best. Final shoutout to Sheung, Phillip & Terri who run the place amazingly and helped my partner plan the most perfect engagement (I said yes!).

United KingdomNothing. It’s worth knowing that there’s a fixed daily meal plan (with alternatives on request) which may not be for everyone. (The food is good, consistent, crowd-pleasing family fare with a slight 1980s vibe.)
It’s a beautiful resort in a fantastic location. Very well run, only 11 bungalows, so you get to know the other guests and the staff know everyone’s names. A good range of daily trips and activities, a lovely house reef to snorkel on, and a resort dive centre. You’ll get the most out of this if you want to engage with other guests and staff and do some joint activities (kava drinking, crab races…) - this may not be for everyone, but is really one of the high points. The staff are what really make this place. I don’t think we’ve ever experienced such an amazing, friendly, and multi-talented group of people. They and the owners go above and beyond in every way to make you feel and home a well looked after. Can’t recommend this resort enough!

CanadaIt’s a part of the journey to get here as the Yasawa group is a little further away from Nadi, but in the end worth it. The Tavewa Seabus is slow and if the sea is rough it can be a bumpy ride, not the best option. The Yasawa Flyer (catamaran) is the other option but is calmer as it goes closer to the the protected ocean areas around the Yasawa Islands. The duration is almost the same. If you have the means the helicopter transfer is the best option and is only 25 minutes.
The staff are amazing and this resort really takes care of their guests. The daily tours and activities give you plenty to do or you can just relax anywhere on the property. The set menu food option is a must and the cooks are very very good. I was amazed what this kitchen created on an island in the middle of nowhere. Couldn’t have asked for anything more for a relaxing week long getaway. With only 11 bures it is never busy, it is so peaceful and tranquil and you won’t regret staying here.

SpainThis place is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! The highligt of the resort is definitely the staff. I have never been treated so well…I’ve been told the Fijians are welcoming, but the staff at this resort is a different level of kind and attentive. The food is great, the accomodation is very clean and on a very nice beach. All the activities are great, but I recommend the Robinson Crusoe experience 100%. I didn’t feel like at home, because in my house I am not as spoiled as I was in this place. It is HEAVEN and I hope I will come back!
