Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe double bed was tiny with a very bouncy top mattress. There was enough room for a double or king bed which would have made sleeping much easier. We had our own sim card and hotspot but it was difficult to get on the internet. The owners offer paid wifi but it would have been nice to have free wifi for the price we paid for the room!
The studio had a fabulous deck with nice views and french doors that opened all the way to have a great indoor outdoor feel. The kitchenette had everything for making an easy breakfast. We had the whole place to ourselves which was a bonus especially for swimming in the pool.

ItalyIt’s a lovely small property on the Sunset Coast, exactly what i like, just 1/3 on the road Nadi to Suva on a side road and a quiet stretch right on the ocean. The owners Roz and Warren take huge pride in keeping their resort super clean, neat, well maintained and they go our of their way to help you and advice you. I felt well taken care off. The studio is a bit small and you have to go outside to the bathroom which is not for everyone, but the view is wonderful. The rooms at the pool are spacious, well appointed.

AustraliaRos and Hubby could not have done more for us. We had the whole resort to ourselves and it was brilliant. They made us feel very welcome and a lovely fresh breakfast everyday. Our children were at the Outrigger which was busy and pool used a lot. We had the pool to ourselves. The restaurant opposite to crab shack was brilliant. Crab shack had beautiful views and all within a short walk of the premises

United KingdomWe sat and thought about what we didn't like, and we are still thinking......
Where do you start, when you realise that out of all the places you can pick, that you picked absolutely the right one. Seriously, we walked into our room and said ...Wow... We were upgraded to an immaculately clean. pool side suite. Open the doors to a large seating area, looking over to the pool to the coral sea. We couldn't ask for more. We were given a complementary first day breakfast of fruit , toast and cereal, delivered to the room by Roz and Salote, and then later greeted by Warren .Roz and Warren are off the scale hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The pool is big enough to challenge any gym goer with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. They even have complimentary bikes and kayaks, and if that isn't enough, you get provided with bus cards to get you to town on busses that pass the drive every 15 minute. Nice restaurants are within a few minutes' walk . We loved every minute of our stay.

AustraliaWe have stayed in over 50 properties booked through the Bookings.com platform and this is the first time we have left a negative review. Stay at Kaila Na Ua at your own peril. It is not as advertised. When we arrived at the property, the owner was so drunk that we smelled him coming before we saw him stumble down the stairs. He was barely able to walk and was unable to welcome us, take passport details or register our stay. We were left standing in the property driveway, wondering what to do. He drunkenly waved us to a room up several flights of steps, and watched us struggle with our luggage. (We were grateful for the help of our taxi driver.) He told us that the key was in the door - it was not - so unfortunately we needed to deal with him again. He took several minutes to find our key in his inebriated state. Our room had no running water, no drinking water and was so small that the door did not open without hitting the end bed. The next morning we went in search of breakfast, as there is no food offered at the property. There is also very little in terms of cafes or restaurants close by. There is no wifi either. The property is tired and poorly maintained. The pool area has no shade and is not at all inviting. This property is advertised as a resort, it is not. Expect dodgy ugly accommodation and even dodgier owner operators. The pricing of this property, for us over $220AUD per night is an absolute joke for what we would rates as less than backpacker quality accommodation. The owner's poor behavior meant that we did not feel safe staying there and we left after just one night. The owner has harassed us with several threatening emails (including having us stopped at the border...I mean really!) and has fabricated lies about us and our stay at the property. We registered our complaint with bookings.com who were as helpful as a third party platform can be in this situation: Bookings.

AustraliaWe highly recommend a stay at Kaila Na Ua resort. Ros and Warren were fantastic hosts; they provided us with wonderful tips that allowed us to explore the neighbourhood as locals! They organised our airport pick up with Rish, a lovely & reliable taxi driver. The room had a great view, and the resort was very peaceful. We had a wonderful time; we felt so welcome! We look forward to coming back to Korotogo :-)

AustraliaMy friend & I loved staying here! We fell asleep listening to the roar of the ocean, and we woke to the most amazing view of the ocean. The hosts were so lovely & helpful, and made us feel welcomed and so at home. We loved that we could walk to multiple different restaurants, and we always felt safe (this is particularly important when two ladies are travelling together.) The rooms are spacious, the views are incredible, and there are additional special touches like free bike hire to explore the area. If you are wanting a boutique resort that offers genuine warmth & hospitality whilst you explore the Coral Coast, then this is the one for you!

SingaporeDo not waste your money on a bure. They are only two very close to each other. Inside there is no air con, no tv, no working wifi, the pool is a few metres away, then there is the place next door which is run down. The stay was uncomfortable and we were thankful we didn’t book a week there. I don’t understand the previous reviews (because I heavily relied on them when deciding between Kaila and another resort close by). A bit of advice: ask to see the place before you pay (you pay at the property).
