Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe check in experience was great but check out experience needs more attention.
The room and location were lovely. The Forest Spa is in a beautiful location. We were not very impressed with the selection available for continental breakfast. The buffet did not have a great flow - you had to search for items. There was a sense of urgency from staff to pack up, close restaurant and bars.

New ZealandFood was a bit hit and miss, having to pre-order each morning for the day was a little odd but ok - but they need a better system as twice the order was either forgotten completely or simply mucked-up. Most meals were good, but two were absolutely awful - dry overcooked whole fish and inedible pasta. A shame really as the other meals were great
Great location, amazing view from our room Nice having three restaurants to choose from, shame the seafood one is not open every night

CanadaI think communication with staff and guests could be a bit better. The resort forgot to arrange a driver to pick us up from the airport the day we arrived in Savusavu, but thankfully we didn't have to wait long for someone to arrive. I booked 2 services with their spa but it was condensed without my knowledge even though I received several phone calls to confirm the timing. But, like I said the staff are amazing and the next day the lady made it up to me and even apologized in person for the miscommunication. My friend and I were extremely upset that we were not notified about the rain forest spa being under renovations until the day we arrived. We should have been notified during our booking. It was another reason for booking this resort.
All of the staff were soo friendly, helpful, accommodating and such a delight to be around. I love how they remembered mine and my friend's name from day 1. The property was beautiful! One of the many reasons for choosing this resort was that it sources it's food from the property and for this reason, guests are asked to choose their meals in advance. Savusavu town was minutes away and it was great to check out the local restaurants and hang out where the locals hang out. I stayed in a floating bure, which was very comfortable. It was a quiet location. I booked a couple services at their spa, it was the best spa experience ever, however, my friend and I were disappointed that the rain forest spa was under renos.

New ZealandFor the amount of money per night I perhaps expected a little more flexibility and kindness. I went diving all day, the same day I was expected to check out at 0700hrs. I returned from diving at 4pm and it would have been appreciated to shower at KSR after diving, and then pay the bill.
The location mostly for diving. Your gardens are beautiful. Your staff are kind and helpful. Thank you KSR and staff.

United StatesRoom not overly clean, narrow windows without curtains let light into bedroom area as soon as sun up, so couldn’t sleep past sunup, wait staff not particularly attentive, most of staff very pleasant
Breakfast nice, but started a bit too late for those with planned excursions of snorkel dives, booked, etc. Most of food very nice, but some items like Mud crab looked spectacular, but impossible to actually eat.

United StatesI think the resort may have been short staffed on chefs, and helpers in kitchen. Food orders always ended up taking hours, which was fun since it was a vacation (more drinks :) but with kids who were perpetually hungry, it made it difficult. The staff was always courteous but would benefit from more help in the kitchen.
Koro sun stay was fantastic! We stayed in a 3 bed villa and also in a 2b 2b. The 3 bed villa was fantastic and clean. The staff was really friendly and it is what makes the place worth it. The service for all the activities on campus from the babysitter services, to the activities desk to the friendly cleaning staff. The property location is also worth it with all the rainforest greenery and it being right off the water.

AustraliaThe latitude 17 restaurant had a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, that was the only thing I enjoyed about it. The lady on arrival was unwelcoming. Unlike everyone else in Fiji, she did not smile once. The scallops were stale and inedible. Ordered Thai mussels for main. I ate 1 and couldn't eat anymore. There was absolutely nothing Thai about it. They tasted like the Talley's marinated mussels in a punnet, dumped in coconut cream. It was also stone cold, I think they forgot to heat it. Very overated.
Absolutely beautiful resort. Location and atmosphere was beyond expectations. Pictures could not even capture the beauty of this property. The restaurant in the foyer served fresh lovely food and drinks. Service was great. The sand bar was the best. Best cocktails and the bartender was very professional and friendly. You could probably spend your entire stay eating here. Exceptional tapas and mains. Our over water bungalow was breathtaking during sunrise to sunset. Can't wait to return. Vinaka Vaka Levu.

AustraliaThe Bures away from the beach have zero mobile coverage, and the wifi is almost unusable - it disconnects literally every 1-2 mins even in the reception area. This isn’t because they’re in the middle of nowhere - you get OK 4G at the beach, but because of some problem with the way they’ve configured their network. They will need to hire a professional to fix it.

AustraliaRoom decor in the tropical apartment was a bit dated (still comfy and functional), food at the sandbar was a tad slow. Wifi was down a lot, and not very good when it was working (but that's not why you'd go there anyway)
Staff were amazing, awesome location with excellent snorkeling right in front of the resort, a couple of minor issues with our room were sorted out straight away. The seafood restaurant was awesome, we had the most delicious lobster. We had a lovely stay here and will be back!

NetherlandsWe loved the refill your water bottle policy, but unfortunately water bottles were plastic and quite small (i.e., bring your own aluminum bottles to avoid micro/nanoplastics). Bars close quite early (latest 10PM) and staff were not the most supportive in making a drink after 9PM.
Korosun is great. Beautiful location, spacious with space for privacy (despite being quite a big and busy resort), adult only facilities were a great way to steer clear from families/ small children. Bonus points for the wifi in the room and the amazing rainforest spa!

United StatesWe arrived about one week after the resort re-opened after being shut for about two years because of Covid. A few days before our arrival we were informed that our reserved room would not be available and we discussed other arrangements with the hotel. By the time we arrived, they had hustled and gotten our original room ready, which turned out great. We appreciated how hard they had worked to get things sorted. We thought the food was great and the prices were reasonable. Everybody at the hotel was very nice.

New ZealandLoved the whole stay, was perfect to end our Fiji holiday, cant think of anything we didnt like! I did purchase many a souvenir of Fijian jewelry gifts (bead bracelets and necklaces, freshwater pearl and boars teeth necklaces) from the boutique and little stall at the resort and on the village trip, most of what I purchased was what I was told it would be, but one of the necklaces was a plastic bead instead of a freshwater pearl from a stall, and two were plastic teeth instead of the boars teeth from the village, I would have bought more bead jewelry instead of these had I known, love supporting local so am not unhappy, lucky I purchased enough gifts so I didn't have to give plastic 😃
The whole stay (3 nights) was amazing! After 8 nights at another island with the kids, we left them with the in-laws and flew over to stay at Koro Sun, we were greeted by our super friendly transfer driver Tuks who was very informative about Savusavu. We arrived at Koro Sun to a welcome drink and intro of the resort thanks Savi (and Im so sorry can not remember the name of the lady who greeted us with the drink), then went on over to settle into our floating bure, it was super amazing, I loved hearing the fish jumping out of the water outside the window, there was a kayak tied to the deck ready to explore the lagoon, the room itself was super comfy! The food was amazing (sorry I cant remember everyones names but Nai you were so kind in the restaurant) I hadnt done much research into our stay, was just happy to eat, relax and book into activities as they became available, so was nicely surprised to have a continental breakfast included each morning! We explored the resort the first morning and went on a guided snorkel out in the lagoon in the afternoon with Andrew, which was perfect for my experience! Went to the Kava ceremony hosted by Rinu (sorry if Im spelling your name wrong) and Manu, the Fijian dance/show and dinner that evening, again all amazing and worth the time! We booked into a couples massage the next morning, wow, listening to the waterfall with a relaxing massage is something else 😍We were told the barrier reef snorkel trip was a must, so we did that next, and it was more than amazing thanks Gina, Caleb and Amos! The waterfall trip was also worth the time, thanks Sam & Dan, we swam through the waterfall to climb the rocks behind and then jump back through the waterfall, so cool! Ended the day with a sunset cruise, again amazing! Thanks to the whole team at Koro Sun, from check in to room service, dining, the rainforest spa, activities and dive shop, you made our Fiji holiday the best time 🥰 Can’t wait to come back!!!

AustraliaThis place was an absolute disappointment to say the least. My husband and I came for our honeymoon after saving for months to be able to afford this bur on the water. We felt we didn’t get our moneys worth at all and had to spend extra $$ if we wanted to do absolutely anything including our breakfast that was “included” which was old fruit that had bugs all on it and salad items anything that was breakfast items like eggs and bacon you had to pay for. Spent a fortune on excursions coming back to our room not understanding what we actually payed for. No tvs or phones in the rooms plus the wifi was in and out constantly which was extremely painful when we went in rainy season and we couldn’t watch anything. Room service was extremely slow and seemed like such a hassle.
