Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe bure was a little run down and in need of maintenance. It took some deal of force to close the shutters. As we entered it for the first time it was extremely hot and full of mosquitoes. It would have been nice if the staff turned on the air conditioner and mosquito repellent before we entered. Overall it was on the cheaper side for Fiji, but for what we got we thought it wasn't great value for money (compared to another place we were at).
The place itself is very charming and serene. Staff was the highlight - wonderful and kind. We had some food restrictions and they did their best to accommodate us. The room had plenty of space. Beachfront was beautiful. Because of the lagoon there spots that were deep enough to swim in, which was great.

AustraliaEntertainment was only offered on Saturday night, every other night you were left to your own devices. Would've been great to have live music a few times a week at the island bar or even just some night time activities. Swim up bar wasn't open and drink service around the pool was sub par - if you wanted a drink, you had to leave the pool and approach staff. Bikes weren't free - we think these should really be included in the price you pay for the package.
Food was delicious - the buffet at Dick's each night didn't disappoint!! Location was stunning, we couldn't stop looking at the palm trees and beautiful vistas. Snorkelling was great at the island and the surrounding areas. Good optional extras - island hopping, cloud 9, sandbank snorkel etc. Beach front bure - adults only, loved how peaceful and cute it was. Strong cocktails 🍻

AustraliaWas a bit muddy outside our garden bure. the ground dips a bit in this area and there had been heavy rains leading up to our stay. One of the snorkelling trips had limited visibility. Probably due to recent weather.
Liked the village visit. Kids bought a bunch of souvenirs. Liked the aqua blue waters. Liked the sandbank snorkel trip. Liked having lunch on the Island Bar during the day. Idyllic location. Kids loved riding bikes to get around.

New ZealandIt would be super helpful to have drying racks in the room to hang our wet clothes, togs etc... and insect screens on the sliding doors in our garden villa would have been great so that we could enjoy the warm breeze without mosquitos coming inside.
Beautiful resort, lovely staff, delicious food. Special thanks to the maintenance and ground staff who worked so hard keeping things running in what was terrible weather much of the time we were there. Lice and the restaurant staff were just wonderful and our daughter adored Suly who ran the activities. We will be back as soon as possible.

AustraliaOur suite was a bit far from the reception and restaurant. When it rains, water will accumulate outside the suite, which is very difficult for walking, but I think this problem will be solved after the renovation.
Breakfast was very hearty. There are a lot of different options every day to fill my day. Lunch was quite simple but enough to recharge everyone for the afternoon activities. Dinner was very sumptuous too and there was a band playing for us every night with us.

CanadaA cautionary note: the last catamaran to the Malolo Lailai Island where Musket Cove Island Resort is at, leaves Nadi at 5:30 PM daily. The catamaran takes approximately 1 hour to reach the island. Our flight from NZ arrived late, we arrived about 5 PM, the catamaran would not wait for us to take the 1/2 hour shuttle to the port so we missed that last transfer which costs $95 / person. We had a choice of waiting until the following morning or arranging a private boat to take us to the island, the cost $300 / person, in our case $1200 FJ or $600 USD approx. We calculated this was cheaper than spending the night (hotel, meals, taxi & transfer). You might say.. book an earlier flight but this was the only flight arriving from Auckland, NZ. The resort is looking a little tired in some places but we did notice the resort is making efforts in repairs and upgrades.
We had the all-inclusive package, generally the food was pretty good but sometimes over-cooked, especially fish and chicken. The staff were amazing, friendly, attentive and helpful. Beautiful location and sunsets. Good snorkelling and other water activities, beautiful beaches. Great entertainment with great voices. The Trader Cafe offered good menu items. The unit was good, the staff who take care of the rooms were excellent. I loved the fact staff greet the catamaran with a welcoming song... great harmonies and voices. Nice touch.

AustraliaThe pool was full of algae when we arrived, they cleaned it over several days but still wasn’t very clean. You had to buy water, they give you 2 bottles a day but between 4 in the heat it doesn’t go far so it’s really adds up.
The rooms were fantastic and the service from moment of arrival was awesome, stunning beaches, great activities, the food was AMAZING!!! So much to love!

AustraliaWe absolute loved our stay.. we were here for three nights and it was the epitome of relaxation. The island was gorgeous, it was our first time in Fiji and we were very impressed. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and genuine - they welcomed us like family. We stayed in a beach front Bure which was peaceful, spacious and comfortable, and most importantly the beach was right at the door step! We will definitely be back ☺️ Claire and John

AustraliaThe resort was spread out and we could have used the bikes but at 45FJ a day they were not being hired. In contrast Plantation Island resort has heaps of guests hiring. If the charge was 45 FJ for your whole stay that would be reasonable.
The meals were excellent. We had the all inclusive meal package. There was great snorkelling just off the end of the island. No kids club they had more family activities each day like weaving or beach volleyball.

CanadaThe pool, pool area & restaurant was tired, the food for the price was OK. Didn't have toiletries refilled. There was 1 night when there was the smell of sewage next to the Restaurant.
Liked the location, the accommodation (needs a little love) but they are well planned with aircon and very spacey), staff except for 1, activities that are available,

AustraliaIt’s all a bit old and grubby and needs updating. The sheets and towels are old, yellowish and had stains and house keeping didn’t clean shower or surfaces or change the sheets/pool towels/refill toiletries. No coffee, only teas and decaf in bungalow. :-( Drinks are not included in the meal plan. Our bungalow’s lock didn’t work well, but we gave up after a while. Most disappointing was the pool area. It’s a big salt water pool but no shade at all (so water is hot) and the cabanas are black! so unusable in the sun. Pool was covered in algae. Deck is uneven and has holes. There need to be more umbrellas, better filters and shade, no salt water. Not much to do for kids and no food for kids at dinners. Eating area needs more fans or aircon. You can walk to Plantation Island resort if you want better pools and if you prefer more entertainment. Apparently you can use their kids club too. No snorkelling in the bay and sandbank got boring, snorkelling off Plantation beach was ok. So, not the best snorkel destination unless you go out to the reef.
Location and lay-out of the resort are so quiet and relaxing. The entire bay is super shallow, so great for kids. The food was exceptional, still dreaming of the muffins, salads and desserts. The huts have a good size and little kitchenette and you get two bottles of water a day. Best thing was the deep water snorkelling, the reef was incredible, highly recommend! Friendly staff and a supermarket on site, which was so handy. NYE fireworks were really good!

Australia- Out of our two rooms in the garden bure, only one had aircon. It was extremely hot in December. - The waiting area in the hotel has no air con or fan and can be an issue if we are waiting after check out (for the boat to arrive for transfer) - No wifi in rooms - Rooms are a bit old - No locks in toilet doors
The following were the positives. - All 3 meals included (Food is otherwise very expensive) - Free included Snorkeling trip (This was the best part of our entire trip) - Free kayaks and paddle boards -Has a supermarket at reasonable rates -Great people. Out of the 3 resorts we stayed, Musket cove had the friendliest staff.

New ZealandLovely sandy beach, large outdoor swimming pool, well equipped room. We stayed in a Garden Villa room with beds downstairs for the children and an upstairs mezzanine master bedroom with ensuite. Booking ferry transfers was easy though the hotel and it all worked seamlessly. A cyclone blew through while we were staying and the staff were well organised and provided breakfast food in advance for the morning the restaurants were closed. The little plunge pool on the patio was excellent.
