How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The amenities in my room like the TV had bad reception. There were no tea bags in my room to have tea. And there weren't many places to charge my accessories like my phones and laptop.
The room was exquisite and the breakfast was satisfactory. And it was very easy transportation from the hotel to the airport. So everything in particular was satisfactory.

Bathroom was a little out of date.
This is a great location, close to airport. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast and dinner were excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Location, very close to the airport. Good for a stop over trip before flying. Hotel is fine, just a bit run down. Hot was temperamental in the shower.

it is a shame we have no bottle of water in the room. You have to go to the bar and buy one. I landed at 22:00 and it would have been nice to have at least a bottle of water in the room. A good thing the restaurant/bar is open until 2am. The bathroom need a makeover and a thorough clean, but everything works.

Rooms and facilities are a bit tired but otherwise clean and tidy. From experience, when something breaks down in Fiji it takes a while for it to be fixed.
Arrived early at 10.00 am and hotel had no issues checking us in early and even gave us an upgraded room! We have stayed at this hotel several times and know what to expect. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast is good. Hotel is a 5 minute drive from the airport (no airport noise). Taxi fare is Fiji$15. You could walk it in 15 minutes, but not recommended if the temp is 30C. Rooms and facilities are a bit dated but otherwise clean and tidy, just remember this is Fiji and not the USA, UK or Australia, so make some allowances for some things not being quite up to point. When we checked out, the hotel had Taxi's waiting to take us to the airport. We used the hotel for a transit stop and whilst there we visited Denerau Marina which was a Fiji$40 taxi fare. Hotel has a nice pool and open grounds.

Well overdue for a makeover. Stayed here 10 years ago when it was smart and tidy. Looking a bit rundown now.

The bathroom had seen better days, some mould around the bath and the shower tap fell off and had to be reattached.
The service, breakfast and staff were absolutely excellent.

The shower tiles were dirty and due to it’s design water overflows from the shower into the rest of the bathroom.

Breakfast could have been better with simple cereal choices and watery porridge and a little below expectation for this type of hotel. We also arrived to find our booking had been canceled because they thought we weren't turning up (we had booked the day before because we were arriving 5am the next morning but they canceled our booking overnight thinking we weren't turning up and they didn't email us to check either - but the big lesson is to always advise hotel approx ETA so this type of thing doesn't happen)
Close proximity to the airport is great, has a good sized pool, has a gym with a couple of treadmills and small dumbbell weights, gym was relatively clean, room was reasonably sized with comfy beds and a small 29"TV.

The range and quality of breakfast was lower than expected. The range and quality was lower than the cheaper hotels in the area.

The quality of the food served was not good. Particularly when you spend on dinner, their range of meals and quality was sadly not nice. The housekeeping did not come and check and when they did up room they failed to refill basic things such as coffee etc

The putting green was interesting. The price of food at the store was high. Decided to go to New World. Steeping into a bath to get in the shower was a mission No milk or water to start off with.
