The wifi went down a lot and my app stopped working after a few days and I had to reinstall it. Winds and tides often prevented snorkelling which was part of the reason I chose the venue.

Great friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of restaurants and activities. The app was really useful when it worked.

we weren’t properly aware of the bond, 5 of us booked and all missed the information about the bond,it wasn’t made obvious to read or see, it was no where to be found on booking.com,We also all tried to find it on the actual outrigger website. although it all works out in the end and goes towards your bill, this should be clearer upon booking and should be added to the important information section on booking.com.

The walls in the main building need sound proofing. U can hear everything in the rooms either side of you

Was lots of renovations happening at the time which meant we were moved into the lagoon wing. Which wasn’t the worst thing in the world but the room didn’t have the greatest view. Which seemed more a downgrade then an upgrade we were offered. It must be said that whilst there were lots of renovations, they didn’t disturb the holiday with noise or workers

Great spa, adults only pool was good. Beach had adequate swimming. We do not have children but the kids club and facilities looked very good. The restaurants did good food, in particular the beach restaurant. Highlight had to be the crab shack which ironically isn’t part of the hotel and right next door! Mud crab is a must

The shower holders were held in with double sided tape rather than drilled in. Large parts of the hotel were closed for maintenance/ redevelopment

They need a dedicated wedding function restaurant rather than close off one of the hotel restaurants to guests. There was a wedding every single night of our stay,

It is a 5star family vacation resort, not a 5 star hotel. Not more, not less. And the prices for food are everywhere in Fiji really high. No difference here.

Really lovely resort. Nice details, adult pool and fun snorkeling area directly in front of the beach. Food was okay, like really okay. Not bad at all, but nothing extraordinary. Rooms were very nice, and the service was refreshingly nice. Extraordinary for this kind of resort I would say. We found the staff in general very friendly and helpful. If you like resorts, you might like this. Be aware that the beach is not for easy swimming and not for beautiful coral snorkeling, even so you have a wide range of fun fish, but the current can be strong and the water therefore a little unclear.

Was extremely expensive and so many renovations going on in half of the rooms so you would think they wouldn’t charge so much to stay there at that stage of construction with all the noise etc. Beach also isn’t very swimable unless you are snorkelling at high tide which only happened once for an hour because of the wind.

Food, pool and staff were great! Very spread out so alot of walking to get anywhere which we didn’t mind to much as we took the buggy but then we were also in oceanview rooms so had to carry buggy up 4 stories.

There were lots of renovation work going on that was definitely not reflected on the price, this created noise. Shortages of sun-beds

The location is beautiful and the Spa is gorgeous. If it wouldn’t have rain so much beach would have been more enjoyable and all the water sports equipment available more usable. The Sundowner Bar & Restaurant was a great place to have breakfast and dinners.

More activities that were suited for adults. The location is a bit far from town and not many restaurants (outside of the resort) nearby. The restaurants in the resort were very pricey.

The resort itself is beautiful. The adult-only pool is very relaxing. The rooms and bathroom were clean. The butler service was a plus and delivering water each day as well.

The rooms are a bit tired, but while we were there they were renovating a lot of ocean view rooms and bures so looks like that won’t be an issue in a few months.

The wonderful staff are the heart of this resort - always smiling, friendly and offering help. The food and drinks were exceptional, with heaps of options for kids.

3% surcharge on all items - was told that this was a mastercard charge, only to then be charged another 'mastercard' charge on our account of 3% as well. There was also a room fee per night of $150 that was not disclosed at the time of booking. Additional charges are annoying, but ok ....as long as you are aware of them when you are selecting your accommodation. As with any resort in Fiji - be prepared to spend your money on food. It is expensive. The beach at Outrigger isn't nearly as nice or convenient as Shangri-la as it is mostly coral (so not sandy and you can not walk barefoot), however the flip of this is that it is good for snorkeling, so there are definite tradeoffs. The pool was quite good at Outrigger as well, however our personal experience was probably a little unique in that the water was just way too cold for our bub (despite lots of toddlers absolutely loving it) and a kid pooed in the larger part of the pool. We didn't go in the water at all after that. I'm sure that's not everyone's experience, but unfortunately it was ours.

We stayed at three resorts while we were in Fiji and The Outrigger had by far the most beautiful accommodation. The room was absolutely stunning and had obviously been redone recently. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant overlooking the beach was fantastic. We enjoyed our dinner there so much that we came back in the morning for breakfast the next day and were not disappointed.

Everything, staff went over and beyond, great management everyone happy it was beautiful. Great wifi and all the rooms have chrome cast which is unreal!

There is nothing to dislike about this property. It’s a great location and rooms are functional and nice.

This is a fairly large resort, but caters to a particular clientele. If you are a family group travelling you will love it. If you are not, probably less so.

Great place for young families with kids. Many activities planned for kids and they have special child cares. Great views from the resort and good access to beach. Incredible food options and drinks.

I booked a early morning call and a porter for 3.30am and 4.15am respectively but neither eventuated; had to go down and up stairs where I found a buggy driver who found a porter.

My daughter's wedding! The resort did this so well, except my daughter was refused her massage until the managing director was called. There was a misunderstanding regarding her booking but the chief bridesmaid sorted it. The facilities are impeccable.

The location felt a bit isolated from doing tours as it was an hrs drive each way to get to the start points.

Staff were friendly. Lots of good food options. Rooms were nice and clean.
