Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe slide into the pool didn't work that well...
We loved the omelette bar and plethora of papaya and bananas! We loved dinner and all the buffets but my favorite was the children singing! it was the BEST! Thanks for that experience!

Australiait looks like this hotel had its “grand” moment years ago. you can see it has lots of potential, and now it is just a bit rundown . I noticed they put some effort to renovate the room, mine was recently painted. But there are other areas of the hotel where there are just old furniture laying around , unused spaces … when I walked my daughter to the kids club you walk through an abandoned area of the hotel and she said herself “this is spooky “ . if they could invest some serious money , they could jump into a 5 star because they definitely have the space and location . the swimming pool - guys , something is wrong with the swimming pool . you need to get a proper pool specialist. the water is green and cloudy something to do with cleaning (could be algae growth) or PH of the water, or how alkaline it is . but the water should not look like that . it’s a bit gross ! food - the food is alright at dinner , we ate mostly buffet but can be improved the food service during day time is terrible , the food is really bad . they 100% do not know how to make pizza . breakfast - average - could be way better . there is no fresh juice
The staff is definitely the highlight for this Resort. they are wonderful, happy , polite and always willing to help. Honestly I would say that the reason this resort have high ratings it is mostly because of the staff . They prepare plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained and involved :) they treated me and my family super well . I just felt a bit sorry cause it looks like they work a lot ! perhaps more staff to help them ? we had a lovely time there.

Canadalunch menu could be improved upon. felt over priced for the quality.
rooms were nice and clean. Beautiful ocean views. lots of stuff to do for kids and teens. wonderful staff. Professional evening entertainment and cultural activities. Great free breakfast. we also liked that they also provide a safe place for local cats -this is a niche for the resort, I think guests appreciate it. We did.

New ZealandThe resort arranged a taxi for us to get to Denerau and charged $150 FJD on the taxi app I had it should of only been $120FJD. The resort was very tired looking and the gardens were not well maintained. The stray dogs and pregnant cat with x5 almost grown kittens were sad to see - signs at resort saying not to feed them. The dining room reminded me of being a boarding school or a school camp. Nicer furniture would enhance this space.
We stayed in a villa right at the edge of the beach. Daily activities - it was a bit like being on a cruise. Beach was good for snorkeling at high tide. Breakfast was great with so many varieties of food and a chef cooking individual eggs. Pool was nice and refreshing

New ZealandThe food is terrible, pizza with barbecue sauce instead of tomato. The quality of the menu is really poor, more been vegetarian. Maybe the buffet was different, but of course all the mains were with meat.
Fiji is paradise and the employees are really nice and kind.

GermanyVery loud music all day long at the pool, almost without a break of that unbearable noise. Listening to birds or waves: no way as long as you don't walk away from the resort. Conversation with other people impossible, unless you shout at each other. A real disgrace.
Very spacious bure, nice beach, food was good, plenty of breakfast options, nice staff.

AustraliaWe had an amazing time at Fiji Hideaway! My husband and I stayed with our 2 little boys (4 and 1yo) and my mum. We had 2x oceanview bures. All staff are so friendly and accommodating. They have refurbished the pool area and lobby and currently upgrading rooms too which is great! The grounds are beautiful; lots of palm trees, nice restaurant and bar area with pool and ocean views. Everything very well maintained! It’s a small and personal resort which we absolutely loved and highly recommend to others. Snorkeling at high tide was our absolute highlight of the day for the 14 days we stayed. Dive Center is there as well and we did outer reef snorkeling/scuba diving which was amazing. We also did a village tour to a lovely small village which is close to the resort. Day trip to Malamala Island was also a highlight of our trip and can be organised through the resort. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable so therefore we had no complains. Beds are so comfy. Room was serviced daily and any requests by us were attended to immediately. Again, staff are super friendly and helpful. They are so fun too and lots of activities there to join in (crab race, sun dance, aqua aerobics, and so much more). Kids club was great too and is free for 4-12yo. For younger ones a nanny can be hired. Our little one loved going to kids club thanks to the lovely staff Kini and Tash. Breakfast was super tasty too. Restaurant meals were reasonably priced and theme nights like Japanese or bbq dinner were great too. There’s lots to like about this resort and we would definitely come back. Coral coast is the place to be in Fiji especially if you enjoy snorkeling. Thanks again Fiji Hideaway!!! We absolutely loved our stay!!

New ZealandThis is an older resort and is a little rough around the edges at times. While we were there renovations were ongoing which should make some great improvements. The cheap room which we started with had a rough bathroom. Our second room was much better.
The staff were exceptional in every way. They are connected to the local people and village which I really appreciated. They knew our names and went out of their way to make our 2-year-old welcome. She definitely didn't want to leave! The location is outstanding with quality snorkelling right there and we enjoyed the pool and activities on offer. We were told by a taxi driver that this is the only locally-owned resort on the Coral Coast.

EstoniaLike many bigger hotels, no individuality in this hotel eighter. We booked the higher rate room on the beach, but there was not any sunbed! And they did not allow to take one from the other beach area, too. Although some guests did so.... they draged the beds back every night.... And personal did not have any answer whatever we asked them.... beginning with "what soup is today's soup of the day in your menu?"... You have to manage everything on your own there!
Locatoin was good, it offered enough privacy.

New ZealandYes the resort is tired and not all facilities were open but it is being renovated Feb/March 2023. No other restaurants or shops near by without transport. Traffic can be heard from our rooms.
Fantastic location with watersports in the lagoon out the front of the resort (snorkeling, kayaks, SUP, fishing etc). You are able to wander past the resort to explore the rocks at low tide. A village is a short walk away, the resort activities have a few options for a guided visit. Plenty of activities on offer to entertain. Plenty of options on the menu, with different specials every night and options of buffet dinners. The staff are wonderful, always meet with a Bula! and very helpful too.

AustraliaFood is plentiful but ordinary. No traditional Fijian fare sadly. Staff need to be reminded about basic expectations of travellers. On arrival there needs to be milk in the fridge and a laundry bag. Tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries and toilet paper must be replenished regularly. Air-conditioner and fan must be checked for working condition and batteries in remote replaced regularly. Blinds in rooms must be able to be closed fully.
Layout and design of villas and bures is a big positive. Beachside villa is great. Grounds were immaculate and very beautiful. Beach offers good swimming at the western end and some interesting snorkeling at the eastern end. The staff are the real bonus and really make the difference, we loved them!

Australiathe property is quite dated and needs some upgrades. the pool area while spacious, didn’t have a clean pool - dark green dirty colour that was not appealing to get into. pool area had very old outdoor furniture, and not enough to accomodate everyone. running water was also unclear. food options were ok, but would not recommend depending on food here and it is better to plan for exploring other resorts for meals.
the beach was lovely and lots of water activities available, especially kayaking. staff were very friendly and welcoming. our ocean view Bure was very clean and we especially loved the outdoor shower.
