Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaPeople going through the villa as it is for sale.
Food, unfortunatly the food market for the area was poorly stocked for us, mostly can food, if you want food you have to go to Suva or Sigatoka, next time we would stay at a resort. We did go accross the road for dinner at Maui Palms but was refused as we were not staying there. Our only issue was people being showed through the villa as it is for sale which we did not know. AustraliaDVD player hardly worked and almost all the DVDs were so scratched they wouldn't play anyway. Very hard to find which light switch works which light but not a big deal - would be good to just label them i guess.
The view is lovely, kitchen facilities are great. Lots of space to spread out, pool is nice and big. Big bonus having drinking water supplied. Beds are so comfortable and showers have good pressure. Location is great but best to have a car to get around as the weather is hot and the house is up a big hill! Shops down the road have basics but best to shop at the market in Sigatoka for fruit & vegetables for cooking. The bananas that Lani & Rafa got for us were so delicious. Lani made us feel very comfortable & didn't encroach on our space at all.

AustraliaWe had come from a 2 night stay at the Sofitel so it took a moment to adjust to being a little further from things than I had expected. I’m glad we stopped at the markets in Nadi to pick up fresh produce because there was a lack of choice in Sigatoka (or at least on a Saturday afternoon when we went shopping). Sigatoka is also about 30 min away so it takes a bit of organising when catering for a large group. There is a lovely small supermarket about 5-10 min away from the house, but it’s a steep walk to get home, so you don’t want to be buying too much. Beach is also about 10 -15 min walk (and return up the hill). I’d highly recommend buying duty free alcohol, fresh produce in Nadi and some cards/games to play whilst staying there.
This was a perfect place for us to stay with our extended family from other parts of the world. Lani and Jack were incredible hosts, greeting us on arrival - and there were Christmas trees ❤️ They couldn’t do enough for us, with Jack happily cleaning the fish from our charter trip, to Lani cooking a magnificent Fijian feast (lovo). The place is enormous, the rooms were beautiful, with stunning views and the pool! omg! We were in it every day, drinking cocktails and soaking it in. It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy each others company. BTW- The pizza place near the supermarket was excellent!

New ZealandThe house and grounds themselves were spectacular. The location is a fair distance from main centers but we had hired a car and knew that before booking. The private pool and sea views made leaving the house unnecessary anyway! All of the bedrooms were large, each with a large ensuite. Two of the rooms are each detached from the main living space.

AustraliaWe had nothing but problems - there was no hot water for the first three days in one room. In this same room the toilet seat was broken and dangerous to the disabled occupant. My sister's door lock was broke and she had to walk through someone else's room to get in and out of hers every time - this lasted for two weeks. We had constant blackouts due to a cyclone, but the staff would turn the generators off every night (spoiling ice cream and other food in the freezer) because they did not have enough petrol for the generator. We went to have a BBQ one night and upon opening it up, we found a plate of mouldy food covered by a mouldy tea towel! But the worse thing was the lack of privacy, the staff would hang out at the pool table all the time, using the internet and playing pool and one staff member even used one of our rooms to lie down on the spare bed and watch movies!
The house itself is beautiful and in a great location.
