Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaGiven the humidity there were signs of mould in the room and as it’s so large, getting around can be a little tricky if you struggle with mobility. Although they offer cart service to get around the island it can sometimes be quicker to walk to your destination.
Lots of amenities. If you prefer to stay in a resort that has everything and you don’t want to leave then this is it!

AustraliaI was appalled at your policy of charging F$40 for corkage on a 0% alcohol bottle of wine which is nothing more tha grape juice. My health dictates that can drink no alcohol and indeed many people today prefer not to as well. We spent 3 months touring Eorope last year and had no trouble. In the hotels we stayed in we paid a nominal $6 per bottle. I spoke to your manager and he never came back to me and nor will I come back
Breakfasts were good quality and plenty of variety for every taste at all three locations.

AustraliaThe adults area was advertised online as adults only but when we arrived it was restricted to Reef guests only, confusing marketing when we wanted a quiet swim. Table tennis bats broken, pool table cues broken, bathrooms dated and dirty shower screens.
We liked the buffet breakfast and location on the beach. The Italian restaurant was the highlight and we wish the whole resort was at the level this was!

AustraliaFiji in general is an expensive destination and the shops inside the resort were expensive to purchase every day items such as water and snacks and alcohol.
Perfect island getaway with a beautiful beach surrounding the grounds, lovely gardens, clean pools and restaurants and facilities on-site. We loved going offsite to the nearby restaurants - Geckos, Flying Fin and The Junction for more Fijian local Experience.

AustraliaThey have a fab cocktail bar and the only thing that I didn’t like was the music 😝 90s boy bands played quite loudly. It really needed some more chilled out music and a happy hour, I believe it was the only bar without one and never very busy, possibly because of the music and prices. Which was a shame as lovely place for a drink.
When we arrived unfortunately the pool had a leak and was out of action for a few days and only a small pool available. But this wasn’t a major problem as the sea was beautiful to swim in and only a few steps away from the pool. Breakfast was your standard buffet, lots to choose from, so great. Dinners were great, rather busy but it was school hols so to be expected, prices were similar to what you would pay in Australia so certainly more than I had expected even in local restaurants!

AustraliaWe found for the price certain common spaces were pretty grubby, the selection at breakfast was big but overall the pastries, bread and sweets were frequently stale and had little flavour.
The hotel is well equipped with everything you need, pools, entertainment for the kids, organised beach volleyball and soccer as well as restaurants and a good buffet breakfast. Generally speaking staff are very nice, accomodating and generous. Snorkeling on the beach just off the Takali restaurant was great for the kids.

AustraliaDue to so much rain and humidity we were unable to get our clothes dry- a clothes airer would have been handy. The floor would also become very wet due to condensation if you opened doors too much, or turned the aircon off. My toddler slipped and banged her head very hard on the tiles. I believe this would be the case at most places in Fiji during the wet season. For us - young kids including toddler, and my parents in their 60’s, the resort was a bit too big. We were toward the end of the lagoon wing, and it seemed we had to walk a long way to get to breakfast or pool, then back to our room if we needed anything . This is more so a personal preference, no fault of the resorts. If we stayed here again I would be requesting a room closer to the Lagoon buffet area. After a walk to the ocean wing, the view looked nicer than Lagoon wing.
The lagoon pool was great for families. My kids swam for 6 hours a day! The rooms were big enough, and the big bed was comfy. The aircon was amazing and I found I needed to turn it off at times as it got too cold. Plenty of complimentary activities during the day. Bottled water renewed each day. All the food was great. We ate at Lagoon buffet, beach bar and grill and pool side. And dinner at Takali on the last night- it’s a must! The staff responded quickly after we reported water leaking through our down light in bathroom. We only had one chance on the waterpark but it was awesome.

AustraliaI'm reluctant to mention this as what I'm about to say should not reflect on any other staff at the facility as they were always friendly and competent. But as mentioned above our checkin experience was spoiled by a particular individual who made promises about our early checkin in but failed to deliver. This occurred over two days and the first day we spent five hours after a very long travel day sitting in the lobby waiting for an inferior replacement room as our bungalow was unavailable because of bed bugs even though the facility had low occupancy. We were promised we would be able to move into a similar bungalow to the one we had booked the next morning but again it was four o'clock in the afternoon before this occurred. We were compensated for the replacement rooms and given Fiji $150 for the inconvenience but this only occurred after senior management became involved.
Generally the staff were very friendly and helpful but as will be mentioned below we had a bad experience with a checkin staff member. Our Reef Bure accommodation was very good and breakfast was particularly well catered for although a little expensive. We were glad it was included in the package but we had to purchase it the first day because of our early arrival.

AustraliaThe bed were old and saggy! Mattress needs upgrade. Takali Asian: where we dined the most. One of the staff who looked like a manager or a team leader was extremely rude to us. Throwing menu at the table, when asked about menu. Got told off for not checking, as we were unsure. Didnt want to help at all and couldn’t smile to save a life. Extremely disservice. Saying that, most of interactions with rest were fantastic. Super helpful.
Beautiful location! Massive, gym, tennis, swimming were great. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay! Staff were fantastic and very accommodating.

AustraliaWe have decided not to travel here again in wet season only because this time the bed bugs were alive and well in our sheets! Did not make for a comfortable stay for me. A visit to the resort medic for anti-histamine meds and cortisone cream (FJD250.00) Reported to house keeping, photos taken of my bite marks. They changed the bed linen and sprayed the room but I was bitten just as much the evening after this was done. So unfortunately, I couldn’t give the resort a top score this time around. We have booked to return at a different time of the year. Hopefully this is a once off. Other times we’ve stayed here there’s never been a problem. Just be prepared.
It’s well set out. Private and quiet. We stayed in the adults only Reef wing area. Food choices were good. Plenty of sun chairs available, Happy Hour canapés and cocktails available at no charge in the Reef Bar every afternoon. Plenty do so or do nothing.
